I am not a 250 collector, just 1/400 and 1/200, but this may be a buy for me just because of the aircraft type and airline.

Anyone know what the Flagship name is?

Too bad this isn't going to be released as a 1:400 model as indicated on GJ's homepage. I would definately buy it if that was the case. Sadly, it looks like I'll just have to wait.

Or maybe I'll buy this model just to say that I smashed another 250 model under the heel of my boot.

At quick glance it kind of reminds me of the Schabak 1:250 DC-3s which weren't the worst looking things for the time they came out.

I, too, may get this simply because my first flight was as a baby on this type of plane. My mother was flying from KSDF to KELP to join my father at Ft Bliss where he was assigned to work with the German and US rocket scientist and the captured V 2s. This was the beginning of the US Space program, and I spent my first few years playing with German youngsters who didn't speak much English. It was never a problem for us kids. We were teaching our parents a lesson about a new world, as they were the rest of us...

This may be my very favorite model plane. (I've ordered a second one.) Plenty of detail, shiny chrome, and bright orange on the awesome DC-3 form. Love it! Now if only Gemini could come out with a bigger version...
