There is still no word on the 1/250 Ryanair B737-800 on the GJ web site itself. |

Maybe Ryanair charges for people to take and post photos of scale models of their planes.
$$$ Gotta make that dolla how ever you can!!

I find it pretty interesting. I'm a retailer and it's not listed on GJ's site as coming soon. However, it's orderable through Daron and they list a release date of 3/1 (along with the other GJ new releases).

Just received in this mornings post the new Gemini AA MD82 and the new Ryanair B737-800. However the 737 has no Gemini corporate identification at all. Same price, same size box, same packaging, same die cast mould from the same factory in China, in fact identical in every material way to the Gemini 737's, just no Gemini imprint under the model or on the box ?
My retailer has been showing this model as being in the Gemini 250 stable for some considerable time now, as they have the British airways VC10. Perhaps the Chinese factory is doing a bit of moonlighting, or setting up in competition ( I hope so ) to produce a more varied range. Maybe Gemini just want to produce this one quitely to preserve the image of having a particularly slow moving line of the same die cast moulds. Whatever the explanation, it is good to see something new whoever is stamping it ? Last edited by VC10; 03-15-2006 at 11:09 AM. |

Just picked up my Ryan Air 737 today. Its going to look nice next to the
AA MD-80. Looks like they improved on the dihedral of this one compared to the other Delta, AA and Continentals that had too much angle-up (dihedral) on the wings. Paint and details are very nice as always. Great model to look for. If you like the 250 series, then this one is a must. |
