Default Aero Mini Eastern 720 shortened

Aero Mini Boeing Eastern 720 shortened fore and aft of the wings. Shortening these planes is much easier than the stretching of the DC-9s and 727-200s. But still no picnic lunch. In the end, always worth the effort.

Question

Very nice work on the fuselage. Will you be modifying the wings too?

The client and I discussed making the wings authentic. We decided against it for this one. I may try it on the next one. If I get another scrap 707 I may play around with it to see how they look. This was a brand new Aero Mini so I did not want to trash it by experimenting. I know the area was different on the 720 by a surprising amount, although I would have to look at my notes to get the exact specifications. Thanks for your comments. K

Doctor Fun, you mentioned your "client" in the above post. Do you offer AM refinishing services? I have another post here about three orig. 747's I'm looking to have done, in various stages of wear.

Default Arero Mini Customs

I am not sure I would call it refinishing since I have never "restored" an original back to its glory days. I do custom repaints and decals - I guess that is refinishing of a different sort. I dissasemble the planes, strip the bodies to metal, make custom 1/239, or in the case of the 747 1/290, decals to apply and then glosscoat them. Email me at doctor_fun@earthlink.net to discuss prices on what you want done and see if I have what you want. Most liveries are available. Normally I get $150 per plane depending on the difficulty of the livery and you provide the plane and pay shipping. If you order three at a time I'll give you a $25 break and I will pay shipping. Right now I have more planes than I can realistically do due to my regular clients who keep me busy. Wait time is two weeks to a month. I have done over 100 planes since January and I have about 20 planes on order right now and I know of one BIG order that is being prepared. Patience is a virtue but I am sure you will be thrilled with the end result - an no yellowed decals!?! Attached are some various pics of customs I have done as of late.
