Arrow Gemini 250

Well, it appears that at last the Next Generation of Aero Mini is about to shortly arrive., IN follow-up to "Attention Aero Mini Collectors" and DC8 250, this my first glimpse of the model, althought I have heard through reading hear some particulars all what it this new line of plane is supposed to be.

Despite alot of grumbling among the 1:400 and 1:200 collectorate, may I congratulate Russell and the rest of the Gemini team on again leading the pack. AS I once wrote, I do believe this puts them light years ahead of all diecast modelers. The rolling gears with the rubber tires are a realistic touch. The split nose doors are a huge improvement, aside from the tampo printing, over the original Aero Mini line. And the overall construction with keeping the seams beneath are also an improvement.

It is truly nice to have an opportunity to get on the ground floor with this new line of model, and it helps me to decide against venturing into other lines which just do not fit into my current collecting habits.

This is a line that brings back fond memories, but points toward the future. I am look forward to the many possibilities of aircraft that Aero Mini never did produce, as well as newer aircraft. After what I have seen, I think I definitely know how to keep going in the collection process. I might pick up a Bader here or there, but with the limited number that will be offerred for this line, and with the rarity of the Aero Minis, I think perhaps for me this will be the direction I personally will want to go.

Thumbs up

I about spoiled my drawers when I saw the first pics of the DL 8. What an amazing model and it is much sharper and cleaner than the Aero Mini. Now if they just do the JAL 8, then I can sneak one in next to the other 2 Aero Mini 8s I already have on display "under glass."
