Default Help with new collection

Could someone take a look at this collection of AeroMinis and tell me which are the ones to give as gifts and the ones to sell? I'd appreciate any assistance you could lend. Thanks.

Looking at your collection, there are definitely many hard to find Aero Mini's that if you sold you could collect a lot of money for. You were a bit ambigious when saying "gift", are the people recieving the gifts plane collectors or just friends/family? If they are the latter, then I would say it would not do the models justice to give them to somebody who wouldn't appreciate the model as much as they should. If the friends are collectors, I can not say since I coulnd't judge your relationships, you are the one who needs to make that decision...I would just say some of these models would make swell gifts to an aero mini collector or aviation buff.

Default Thanks for the response...

Thanks for the response, TL925. I decided already that those that sell now, sell now, and those that don't I'll hang onto for another ten or so years and try again. I was thinking of give a few to a brother who is an aviation fanatic, maybe next birthday.

Do you know where to get a price guide on these models so that I don't embarrass myself when pricing them?

Also, I revamped the url I previously provided (home.earthlink.net/~notot/aeromini) with a list of flaws along with each picture. Hit refresh to see "Aeromini for sale.htm." My camara is great for distance shots, but up close some things are lost, so I gave descriptions of what I see as a flaw.

I grade very strictly all the items that I sell. I am clearing out a collection of 45 rpm's and have been rewarded for such grading with rapid sales. (home.earthlink.net/~notot/Records)

Default $$$ aerominis

as a dealer in aircraft models even in the damaged condition the star pieces are the JAL BOEING 727 is worth around $200-225
and the BOEING HOUSE 747 $300-400 and the others would also get some interest on ebay as most of my collection went via this auction site,
drop me an email if you need any more help
cheers kev

Default Wow! I had no idea of the value...

Thanks kevingeeuk! I had already put them up on ebay...

...and have seen some movement, but not on the two planes you mentioned. The movement seems to be on the Air Canada planes. Well, we'll see what the market will bare soon enough.

Thanks again for taking the time to review my collection and for posting a response.
