Re: What happened with AeroPro?
I think Aeropro are unable to use Lysia as a vendor anymore as Lysia is catering exclusively to Herpa and airlines only now.

Incorrect.. AeroPro is still around, I own it. We are doing more products for companies than the retail market. If/when something comes up that we can release on the retail market, we will. For now, we are busy doing lots of cool stuff for all types of companies..
We now own: Diecast Pro Check it out..

That Beriev A-50 AWACS looks a stunner! Is it likely to become available to collectors?

Re: What happened with AeroPro?
Wow... the AWACS with retracting gear (and retractable trailing edge flaps?) looks spectacular.
I can only dream of such detailed examples of some of our favorite airliners. In particular a large-scale premium-level
Boeing 727-100 with retractable gear and fully-functional triple-slotted fowler flaps, leading edge Krueger flaps, slats
and functioning spoilers would be a show-stopper. Such a premium piece could put diecast-pro.com at the forefront
of aviation replicas.

Todd,
Will you be doing an EgyptAir 777-200 1/100 in the old blue tail livery anytime soon? It would go nicely with the star alliance version.

Re: What happened with AeroPro?
Prop-Jet Electra :
I am with you for that, unfortunately, it is a dream.
The big "hole" between the spoilers deployed and the flaps shows clearly why on the B 727, it was forbidden to use the spoilers and the flaps at the same time.
The loss of lift and the increase of drag were too important.
Thank you, very interesting pictures.
Jean Pierre.

Re: What happened with AeroPro?
Jean Pierre if someone would just put out a kit with all the necessary pieces to create the moveable wing surfaces I would be thrilled at the opportunity to put it together. From what I remember the flaps slide out on tracks being driven by a screw. The screw wouldn't be necessary unless the whole thing were to be motorized (oh wow that would be cool!) all I need is the track pieces and appropriate connectors.
I think I'm really getting bored with nothing but retracted flaps on all these models.

I think some of the more engaged manufacturers could easily make the parts from resin and include both retracted and extended, thus letting the collector decide how they want to display the model.
That said . . . how much extra are we willing to pay for such additional detail? And therein lies the rub.

Is it coincidental that it looks so similar to the Amercom 1:200 IL76? Or did they also make the cheap model that was released on the front of the Polish magazine? (they are both 51 RED, have very similar mould markings, on closer inspection, these look almost exactly alike, minus the obvious scale difference and moving rudder etc.)

Entirely cool! I wonder if the radar can be removed to create an IL-76?

Me too! The details are incredible! I see a lot of livery possibilities on the commercial IL-76 variant.

If the cost became prohibitive I'd probably have to limit myself to one - but that one would sure be fun!

Any chance of seeing a 747 or A380 in such metaculate detail?
