Default 1:200 Hogan EVA AIR MD-11 Pax OC

Here're the photos of EVA MD-11 Pax OC reg.#B-16103

Hogan will also released 1:200 EVA MD-11F OC reg.#B-16103 (not sure why hogan wants to released 2 a/c with same reg. hmmm....), so stay tuned for more photos!!!

This baby is such a beauty along with old EVA livery, love the detail of antennas that hogan always have for MD-11 series models. This baby is A MUSTTTT for me!!! hehehe~

Now only left with EVA 767-200 and 767-300 in OC haven't released by Hogan 1:200. Hope they will do so in 2010 and of course more EVAs in different registrations, hahahha

Aww, so that's what the box looks like. I was expecting something less...generic.

The model looks great (As one would expect of the new MD-11s), but the box is so bland.

Sweet looking, I really like the HG MD-11 especially the new ones with the fixed windows. Still, I'm going to keep on waiting for some other liveries like KLM.

They appear the same way, I think on the LH MD-11 Cargo aircraft.

I'll have to get this release as I dont have this engine variation on the MD-11 and EVA has a nice scheme.

OT: The GE engines of this design are not very common. KLM has them too. You can also see them on the Jetstar Airbus A330 model from Hogan. They definitley make the statement : "HEY YOU! - can't you see I'm makin' thrust here?!"

The Hogan EVA and Herpa LH Cargo MD-11's have these GE engines as well as the Hogan Qatar, Jetstar, TAP (second version) A330's plus the Herpa KLM A330. The forthcoming Qantas A330 should have them as well.

Martinair, China Airlines, World Airways, Delta Airlines and Swissair are using P&W engines on their MD-11.

Every MD-11 that has GE engines, *from PH-KCA and later*, has the larger exhaust spikes. And it's the same engine, just the spike is different--they can be swapped around, and nowaday's it's not uncommon for a GE-engined MD-11 to have a mix of spike-types.

Looking at that AF A380, I thought Hogan had made the cockpit windows bigger as they did with the SIA A380:

They did change the windows. I just suspended a few models ,(They're doing no good stored away), today and the early AF bus was one of them. Compared to your recent airplanes, it's not updated. The new windows though, look too large, especially the side panels. Is that just a photo angle thing?

Good to know MJ. Thanks.

OT:The Hogan Jetstar is next to me. The windows are a bit too light grey...but as mentioned, the engine version is as good a reason as any to get it....along with the silver, orange, and black colors. What a sharp lookin' airplane. Could be a reason to break out an Airbus A330 sketch.

I'm not sure how many A380's they made with these larger windows but I somehow prefer them than being too small.

Yes, they are definitely too large. I've got both old and new A380s and I think those small windows looked better comparing to new oversized ones.
I want to correct the cockpit windows a little but I don't know which way is the best for it.

no, the windows are indeed larger. smaller than risesoons but larger than the original hogan ones. i have no idea why hogan defaulted back to the old windows. old windows are definitely too small

That would be 57 USD, not $5.
