Great looking plane !!

But ... Is it my imagination ... or does that -800 have those "lovely" Boeing in-flight (on the ground) wings like the 787s have ?

You did kinda freak me out a bit with the 2 fuselages side-by-side, with innner wings off, in the last group of pictures ... my first thought was ... "Wow ... is this Boeings answer to the A380 ? ... they're going to slap 2 747 fusleages together" ?? .. hard to believe that puppy would get airborne .... 8-)

Great comparisons!

I will wait on this -8i until the wing issue is resolved. I remember when the 787 was modeled, all the wings were in an in-flight configuration with the bow in the wing only to realize that there is little to no bow in the wing when on the ground.

It is a nice model though.

Nice to see this model not in Boeing colors.

But unfortunately it´s not the retooled version with correct fuselage length and the right engines with the redesigned nacelles. I hope Hogan will also release this version in DLH-colors.

Hello Pewter,

First Boeing designed the B747-8I a little bit shorter than the B747-8F. This was also the wish of Emirates. But than Boeing decided to stretch the fuselage to the length of the -8F.
Hogan released the short version some months ago with incorrect engine pylons/nacelles like the B747-400.
The retooled version now has the correct fuselage length (count the windows on the upper deck (old 15, new 20)). The pylons are bigger and more like the B777 and B787 ones.

I bought both versions. Each of them has its attraction.
See also the pictures attached of the new version.

Which doesn't ship worldwide, which I find ironic, given its name.

The scale doesn't look like 1:500, anyway LH is one of my favourite airlines. Nice photos.
