I didn't know where else to post this thread. It's not really Off-Topic.
I acquired a display cabinet on Friday and have just completed refinishing it. It is 80.5" high, 49" wide and 17" deep. It comes with 4 glass shelves and I could easily fit more. So, the question to those of you who have display cabinets with adjustable shelves is: How much space do you have between the shelves? I assume I will be displaying some models with and without their stands. Thanks!

Did you purchase this cabinet new? From where? Can post pics?
Have you loaded models inside yet? How many :400s or :200s can it hold, obviously keeping in mind say, DC-9s vs. 747s? |

No, this was a craigslist purchase. The wood is oak, but I feel oak is too traditional and my furniture is contemporary/modern, so I refinished it in chocolate/espresso. It's still drying so, no, I have not loaded models in it yet. I haven't even put the glass shelves and doors back in it yet.
Like I said, it came with four glass shelves, but I have enough shelf brackets to install another two shelves. I just don't know how much room to allow between shelves. This will give me an idea if I should have one more shelf or two shelves made. Most of my collection consists of widebody (747 and 777), so it'll be interesting to see how many I can jam in it.
