Default 27r ?

Hello !

I want to get some information about 27R models ...
I want to buy a DC-10 UTA, but I don't know anything about 27R quality... How many times does it take to make the model?
Can someone has a DC-10 27R, and post some pics?

Thanks for all and sorry for my english which is a little poor .

You can see the all here...
Aviation Retail Direct : Worldwide supplier of quality aviation models, books and DVDs
I do not know much about it (quality wise) but there are afew that I'd like.
I think they compare with Inflight200 series.

I'm sure I'll be corrected, but if I'm not mistaken these are produced using former InflightLE moulds. They are not tampo-printed like Inflight200, but rather decals are used. Some of their models have rolling gear and some do not. CrownVic has quite a few of these. From what I understand it takes several months to get them from the time you order.

Yes, unfortunatly, it's hard to wait 2 months. I want to buy the Iberia, the UTA or the Harlequin... I've got to make a choice before one week (i want to make my order next week...) .

i phoned them to order the UTA DC-10
they told me I would have to wait at least a year because the moulds are used by other manufacturers and they had no castings
just wait paulo974 i am sure it will be released in the future

Wow, that's amazing. I guess it depends on which aircraft you are ordering. I think the models CrownVic ordered are 747s.

27r also known as Inflight LE are highly detailed models...the lengthly time scale is due to the high demand and also the time in which it takes to make up the art-work and apply the decals which I can imagine is very time consuming process, once that is complete, a clear coat of lacker is then applied to protect the finish...maybe someone with experience in making custom models can elaborate on this..

27R models, Inflight LE models and London models are all the same company. These are all the original moulds that the current Inflight company uses today that were moved to China to cut production costs..The models are ordered thru ARD in the U.K. Expect lengthy delivery times easily of 6 months or more as each one is done by one person (owner of Small World Models) The quality is superb! Average price of a 747 is $400.00 US...My collection is about 25 pieces right now mostly 747's which were all posted here in the last 6 months.. I have pictured the rest on previous threads including the BA Embraer mentioned above..

My collection is pale in comparison to another DACer who does not post as much...He has at least 50 pieces and another 35 on order!

Future customs paid for and being done for me now: all 200
Kalitta Cargo 747
Kuwait 747
Nigeria 747
Philippine 747
Garuda 747-400
World 747
Virgin New Colors 747-400
Ethiopian 787 Phoenix mould
Herpa MD-11 mould Aeroflot, FedEx, and UPS
