The HE Premium KLM 747 thread got me thinking about adding a few KLM 747s to my collection. Does anyone have photos of the following two?
Rise Soon B744 (KLM20B744P02) SkyMarks B742 (KLM20B742P01) I hope these are still available. Thanks!

SkyMarks is going to release new KLM B747 in the near future. Check this at aviationmegastore.

WOW! That looks great! And will go very nicely with my City of Lima. Then all I'd have to get is the original colours SkyMarks 742. I see this is due out in December. I wonder what the reg. no. is gonna be? I can't make out the name on the aircraft.

Yes, that's what I mean. I'm uncertain why no one bought it before I did. It was about $67 including shipping.

Yes, but I'd still like to own a City of Atlanta HE Premium someday.
Okay, after doing a quick search, KLM is NOT one of the airlines that will be released on the MD-11 frame. They are: AA MD-11 World Cargo MD-11 Korean Air Cargo MD-11 Eva Air Cargo MD-11 Swissair MD-11 (2 types)

No, you're not. I thought KLM was one of the airlines, too. Makes sense that it would be. I guess I was confusing KLM with Korean, given both start with a K.

Yes, that, too.
I guess I'll go ahead and buy the SkyMarks KLM 742. I am also happy to report I have FINALLY found a display cabinet for these models. It's 80-1/2" tall, 49" wide, and 17" deep! Oak and glass, with two sliding glass doors.

Yes, I'm excited. A craigslist find. $200. Not bad at all!! I may stain it chocolate/espresso to match the rest of my furniture.

There you go Randy.... sorry for the quality but I only had my phone to take them last night.
Last pic, has upgraded engines, those are currently all white, I'm trying to figure out how to get KLM decals. I installed the rotating engines on the left side only so you can compare them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

FAEDC3 don't you also have Randy's "City of Lima"? Photos of both together would be great!

Wow, thanks very much!! Very nice! I guess this must be an older release, given it does not have spinning fan blades. I wonder how the SkyMarks release will differ from this one? I note on the SM website that it does not list whether the new release has spinning fan blades, nor does it provide a registration number.

@ Freak: Yes, I have Randy's "old" City of Lima, I'll arrange a get together of the brothers, then maybe we can invite City of Atlanta over for a threesome...
I just have to get a better quality camera, that one is awful @ Randy: Actually it is an older version, I got it about 5 months ago from Airkuro. I guess that once the new version comes out, some arrangement can be made to upograde the engines with a set of KLM rotating ones.... |
