Wow freind's, I must say that this model is quite the beauty. Just arrived today in the mail in a large box delivered from the seller that lives 35 miles away from me......convenient huh?
This is definately one of my favorite airplanes and for Inflight to make one from my former employer? Well, that makes it even better and I just had to have one. So here it is, and I have only two complaints: The cowling's on engines 1 and 3 are a bit cheesy in they're construction and the nose intakes are just too subtle and blend into the fuselage. Look's like three small dent's instead. Other than that this is an awesome model and get one if you can! Next on my list is the DC-9 in matching paint. Both of these aircraft are those that I've flown on many times for FREE! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi Citjet, could not agree with you more, it is a very nice model, I also have this one being a Northwest fan, I hope you do get the DC-9, they are well matched together, I have also flown 2-3 time's on the Dc-10, as my brother works for Northwest, and lives in Minneapolis/St Paul, he has been with Northwest for about 26 year's, he started with them at Gatwick, flown on a few of the other's as well IE B757-300 A330-200 & 300 also the A320, but not so lucky to fly on the Dc-9, Stevec,,,

That's awesome Steve,
Two of my most memorable flight's were on the DC-9 from Atlanta GA to Detroit MI in first class and in the DC-10 from Seattle WA to Honolulu HI also in first class. There is nothing like looking down the terminal on the ramp at a line of 'Red Tails' and it will be an experience I'll never forget and it was the best airline I worked for. |

I Looked At This And The British Airways At The Hobby Shop. 2 Things That Stopped Me From Buying Them.
Most Importantly The Cockpit Was Just A Tad Off.It's ALMOST There But It's EnoughThat I Said No. Basically The Two Outer Vertcal Frames Are Leaning Far Backwards Instead Of Forward. Also At The Lower Diagonal Frame Of The Quarterpanel Meets The Lower Part Of The Vertical Frame As In A Triangle. Wrong. There Is Supposed To Be A Very Short Lateral Frame As Well. Second I Think The Aft Number Ventral Fin Is Too Big. Other Than That This Model Is Quite Good. 2 Minor Fixes And I'm Game. |

Those cockpit windows give the plane a mean looking attitude. Maybe it was tired of the long journey from China... At least you got a forward top antenna - mine was missing... They sent me another antenna to put in since the plane itself is sold out.

I am so glad they didnt put that KLM/NWA partnership logo on the DC-10-30......as it detracks from the scheme and makes the plane look like a cheap billboard whore. I am still waiting for my Northwest DC-10-30 to arrive...wow looks like its SOLD OUT...a regular visitor in my home town Honolulu...to SEA/MSP/DTW daily. Awesome job inflight....BTW my British Airways DC-10-30 does not have the cockpit distortion problem that is shown in this thread. Looks like he got a bad batch...I would return for exchange on that one.

Hi Citjet, from post 1, you said you might like to get the DC-9; in bowling shoe livery to match the DC-10, so I thought I would show you some pic's of mine. Stevec....
