Ugly scheme and ugly stand, IMO! Nice pics though.

I like the scheme pretty much.

Very exclusive shots of this superfine IF model.

I'm speechless about the IF stand though.

To be fair to Inflight the stand does do the job and the model felt very stable... more perhaps on another thread...

For Those That Din't Think It Can Be Done, In Your Face!
It's A Question Of Will On The Manufacturers & The Perseverance Of ONE Collector, ONE, That Is The HEAVY ONE As NO One Assisted Me. Y'all Benefit From The Fruits Of My Labour Though.
The Cockpit Has A MASSIVE Improvement But Still Needs A 10% Tweak.
The Tail Fin Chord Is Still Too Small & The Top Is Rounded.

Not Sure About The Color Though.

Closer To What The Real Thing Should Look.

Bottom: Red (Matches The Red On The Yellow One. See Gemini 1011)
Middle: Lavender
Fuse: Light Pink (Though From What I Understand Lockheed Painters Screwed It Up.

Note The Rear Pax Door Is FULL Size!! CORRECT For The Birds Built For The UK!

I received mine on Friday and she's a beauty. I also have the history book on Court Line and of course, the book covers are pink.

I've been meaning to get the Hapag Lloyd 727. Mainly because I've worked around shipline containers for years. Maersk too.

Rick,

I got the book through AbeBooks: New & Used Books, Textbooks, Rare & Out of Print Books from a bookseller in England. I forgot the exact cost, but it was around $100.00. GMS Enterprises is the publisher and you can contact them at GMSAVIATIONBOOKS@Compuserve.com. If that doesn't work, ask Agent X20 to be on the look out at some of the book shops in his area.

The book is hardbound and was published in 1997. 256 pages with plenty of pictures, diagrams, etc. Great read.

I would love to see a Cathay Pacific Super TriStar. I think it was the best looking scheme in the fleet.

Is it my imagination, or did IF not quite get the pylons quite right? They just don't look right to me, where they attach to the engines.
