The Skymarks 1/200 of Horizon are very nice models for half the cost.

I know they are a different class of model, I have them sitting right here, and unless I waste my time ogling my models on a daily basis then the differences aren't worth double the cost. Besides, from 3 feet away only a small percentage of people can tell the difference between a $75 model and a $25 model. Not to mention that larger models display better on stands which also means no gear to worry about breaking.

Everybody has different likes and dislikes. Personally I would never buy a model that doesn't come with landing gear.

Holly crap, I want this! Finally a livery I like...
Qantas and South African were not the favorite liveries on this aircraft.
Even though I seriously considered for Qantas, but now I have to get this!

I have become fond of it anyway. I would go with landing gear and detail for my two preferences. I want to roll these things around!!!!!

the real crime is that the Hogan 1:200 Dash-8-100/200 and Dash-8-300 moulds are just as nice as their Q400 (and the Jex-X Q400) moulds ...

but they won't make non-Japanese models with them

My Qantaslink Q400 is one of my favorite models in of the few I have in 1:400 scale. Still, I won't get another one until the SAS or Flybe releases appear.
