Default Continental 737-300 Profile Drawing - Finished Scans

Mods: Forgive me for posting this in 1:200, but this is where I normally hang out.

Here are some scans of the finished product. Ignore the splotchiness of the blue on the tail, it's not like that on the actual drawing.

The drawing measures about 11 1/2 inches from nose to the tip of the horizontal stab, for an approximate scale of 1:15.

Enjoy!

Thank-you Randy! My next drawing is going to be either a CO 727-100 black meatball, or a CO 757-200 with winglets, so you might get your wish!

My decision depends on how good of a gold color for the meatball scheme I can create with my colored pencils. I'll play around this summer and if I can blend a color I'm happy with, I think I'll do the 721.

Thanks guys.

Jamtide, I'm looking into having prints made to sell for a small price. It'll be a month or so though, so I'll post here again when they're available.

Thanks. Yes a good bit a patience is required, and sometimes mine runs a little thin.

Just great!!!

A friend of mine works for CO as an engineer in Houston. As far as I know he has/had to do something with the new winglets on the B737-300.

Thanks!

Also, Rudi pointed out via PM that I accidentally stated the drawing is approximately 1/15 scale. That is a typo and it's too late to edit the original post. I meant to say 1/115. Thanks for pointing that out, Rudi. 1/15 would be something like 7 feet, more like a mural than a drawing!

VERY Good work, Mike! I really love profile art. I posted a thread on aviation artists recently but only got C-REX to contribute. Your work blows my stuff away! Great job!

Thanks a lot CitationDrvr! I love profile art as well, particularly of airliners, and it's pretty much the only type of art I've ever been interested in creating myself. Nowadays, there are some artists creating some absolutely spectacular looking profiles digitally, but I prefer the old fashioned method: by hand!

I missed your thread, but I'll go find it and contribute!

Looks like there's both CO grey and Boeing grey----rarely do I see that kind of accuracy.

Yes sir--and thanks to you! (Thread on airlinebuzz a while ago.) I was skeptical at first, but you convinced me there are two different grays.
