Much thanks to Kyle Thompson of AeroblueDesigns.com for hooking me up today at the SFO collectibles show!! Was a pleasure talking to you and meeting you today!
He is supposedly credited for the origin of these funbird 732 models! i should have had him autograph my box but i forgot, maybe next show i will! i eyed this model right when i walked in through the door of the show and couldnt decide on buying it until halfway through the show when i had to leave. beautiful model! i would have built it myself out of a hasegawa kit but there is no way i can do that chromed underbelly! slight tarnishing in the nose section but oh well. they look more like permanent finger prints than anything.

That livery makes me wanna go put on my 70s disco! lol
Actually, $79 for that model is not a bad price. It's really a cool piece.

yum yum!
nope i didnt get anything else. i really wanted an air koryo tu-134 but no one had that. there was a 1:200 7E7 original 787 design i wanted but that was priced at a hefty $125 (someone bought it though). nothing really rare in geared 1:200s at the show. next rarest item probably a $135 inflight200 b707 air force one...i aint buying no $100+ model!

$125 for a 7E7 concept, not 787
exactly like this one 1/200 Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 House Color Desk model - eBay (item 220207989306 end time Mar-08-08 20:32:54 PST) i think this bird looks eons sleeker than the dumpy looking (imo) 787 that boeing rolled out and with moded gears on this model. it would be just that much sweeter!

i agree, the 7E7 was much, much more attractive than what turned out to be.
