Default Hogan Landing Gear Question.

I have a Hogan QANTAS A380-800 and also a Hogan Malaysia A380-800, amongst others, but my question is regarding the landing gear on those 2.

The QANTAS has rubber tyres with just a plain silver wheel while the Malaysia has metal tyres and a detailed metal wheel. Does Hogan just randomise their set of wheels or does anyone else have two different set of wheels for their Hogan A380's?

malaysias a380 was a old release. all old releases have metal wheels. the entire line is being currently swapped with rubber wheels now...and your qantas a380 is a new release hence the rubber wheels. those metal wheels (sadly) are being phased out.

Oh OK. I also noticed the actual packaging of the planes were different. The Malaysian was in a wrapped up concealed box while the QANTAS was in a partially see through box.

Thanks for you reply.

Don't worry Kai Herpa still has metal (or plastic, i don't know) on some of their models. Kai, are you sure they are metal wheels? Qantas is cool that's why it has rubber wheels :-)

What about the landing gear sets Hogan sells seperate from the planes? Are those going to be rubber as well?

I have a Herpa model with plastic (sorry Kai, METAL) wheels that look just like Hogan wheels. Bloody hell, this debate over whether it is metal or plastic is gonna go on for ages.

you have lost me hansonator and you are making no more sense. there is no debate! ???

there is no such thing as plastic wheels from herpa/hoga. there is only metal or as of lately, rubber.
herpa and hogan are the same things so when you say you have a herpa model/wheels/gear/whatever that looks like a hogan one, well sorry to break it to you, hogan makes them for herpa so they are one and the same!

again there is no debate. and there has been no debate on this particular thread as of yet
