Default Emirates A340 or A380

Hi, guys and gals, I'm kind of nervous as this is my first post here, and even though I've loved planes in general since I was a pup, you guys seem to know way more about planes in general than I do.

Anyway, that out of the way, does anyone know where abouts in Sydney, or even a safe international website, that has an Emirates A340 or an A380?

Although it doesn't really matter who makes the model, it does have to be 1:200. I've searched everywhere for any of those 2 and all I could come up with was a 1:500 Emirates A380. As much as I love the livery on the Emirates, I feel it wouldn't go with my collection as I have have a QANTAS A380, Qatar A380, QANTAS 747 and a QANTAS 737.

Thanks in advance.

If you get the EK A380 from Risesoon, then get the Germany 2006 cloured one because it has better cockpit windows and relvolving fans.

Another option you have is to purchase the model from Air Kuro who is also a forum member here. He also has direct contact with RS and can speak the local language with them.

Lol, that is until we involuntarily bump into each other on e-bay under different usernames and battle it out over a model. Then we become mad men possessed.

What can i say i love planes but sadly(if thats how you spell it) i only have one 1:200 scale but of course want more but i do have about ten 1:400 scale models, and problem is when i have the money and want to buy one, my parents are not willing to buy it for me because they think its a waste of money that's BS!!!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. I picked up a nice Hogan Malaysia A380 yesterday but am quickly running out of room to store them.

You'll need to get those nice IKEA bookcases, with glass shelves and doors. I got some tips from a fellow Aussie on this forum (Groover158). I hope I got that name correct

Thanks, I'll probably do that. I should have done it yesterday as there was an IKEA right next to HobbyCo.

Hey Flying Kangaroo,

Welcome the forums, and another Sydney-sider! Be sure to keep an eye out for our Sydney Collectorate meetups. Our first one this year was at Sydney Airport and a whole TWO of us turned up lol!

We also meetup sometimes at Hobbyco - Rhodes, which seems to be near you (looking at your recent post) so it'd be great to meet you. Most of us are 1:400 collectors, so the Sydney Collectorates post does reside in that section of the forum.

Too bad for me, I'm looking at parting with my Emirates A340-500, but it's in 1:400 scale

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks for the welcome, Abraxas. I replied to your plane spotting thread in the 1:1 section. I'd love to hang out with you guys as me and my mates are always looking for good places to spot planes.

I was at Rhodes HobbyCo yesterday but I feel the city store has more of a variety, however, I haven't been to the HobbyCo since it has moved to the QVB. Would you be able to tell me if it's the same size as the previous city store.

Thanks.

I'm the same. Haven't been to the new Hobbyco in the city yet. That is also a trip on the cards for the collectorate!

IKEA is hardly affordable once you add those glass shelves and other accessories . As far the glass doors are concerned that is definitely off for the next few months!
