Default Sm Anz 747

Guys,

I am considering buying the SM ANZ 747, but I note it does not have detailed wings and spinning fan blades. Detailed wings can only be ordered for the new mould 773, correct? Not for the 747. And the spinning fan blade engines for 747s will fit any RS/SM 747, correct? It's only the 773 engines that can be different? (Spinning fan blade engines will only fit the 773 new mould wings, not the old mould wings.)

Randy as far as I know, if you want detailed wings for the SM/RS 744, you can get them from Air Kuro. Yes the spinning fans for the RS/SM 744 will fit any of their models that don't have them. They have seperate spinning fan blades for the 777 and 744.

Thanks, Moin. Maybe I'll buy the World Tour 777 from him at the same time. I don't like buying and paying for shipping on just one model.

Which reminds me I'd better spruce up my SM 77W World Plane. I've neglected that quite a bit.

There's one on eBay now, but I'm not paying $300+ for it.

I will. I got it (SM 77W WP) about 4 years ago when it was first released but it came packaged without any fan blades, so I'm waiting for my replacements to come following which I'll add a bit of detailing and then take pics.

Oh, okay. I thought you already had the new fan blades. Will you be detailing any models this weekend for us to see?

Well I did some miniscule detailing on my SM SAS A340 which I received yesterday and you can see the comparison before-after pics in my 'Jan Arrivals' thread.

I will be receiving another batch of arrivals next week from my friend who's coming from the US, namely the HE SV 744, Wooster EY A380 (1:250), HG Vietnam Airlines 772, HG JAL 773ER and the FM AA, NWO, TWA 747-100's and PAA 747SP, the latter 4 which will most certainly require detailing.

Hmmm....I've considered the HG Vietnam 772 and the JAL 773ER. It'll be interesting to get your thoughts/impressions on those.

Randy regarding the JAL Boeing 777-300ER both C-Rex and I have it and we love the jet...Why not go for it yourself.

I have the SM NZ Boeing 747-400 and it's great....bought it when the detailed wings and rotating engines were not even around...Btw...got my Virgin Boeing 747-400 today...Looks great with the Airbus A340-600 (which you also have)

I hesitate because it is another one of those white fuselage with a design on the tail planes.

I was horrified to find a scratch on the right side, just near the last few windows...a white gash..which has resulted in a window and a half that got rubbed off...not sure how that happened...so it looks I might need to do some detailing there...and with that silver background that white spot is even more obvious...a real mishap, but she's still a beauty..breathtaking! Together with the VS A340-600 they make a fine pair!! Lady Penelope and Claudia Nine..Nice!

The JAL Boeing 777-300ER is far from white Randy...It's pretty classy especially all the detailing (not my own) when compared to the RS/SM Boeing 777-300ERs even with the detailed wings and spinning engines.

Oh, no, I'm sorry to learn. I'm sure you can do some touch-up work to it that will camouflage the little gash. But regardless, I'm sure she looks great with her sister!

I dunno, this looks pretty white to me:

Model Details for Hogan 1:200 JAL Japan Airlines B 777-346ER - Wings900 ID# 12275

Like I said, I hesitate because I already have several models with this central theme. We'll see.

Ask C-Rex to send you a pic...You'll see it's not that white as the picture in the database!
Yes both sisters Penelope and Claudia are happy to be together...Oh dear, but what about the rest of the family! ...http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/tridi...cm5-426050.pdf. WHAT!!!!!!!! Did G-VFAB change from Lady Penelope to Birthday Girl..Huh! (Sorry Randy didn't mean to hijack your thread).

I actually prefer the old colours...Not sure if I like the new colours...Not much of a change from the old, but then they are not very Mr. Branson, the old colour was bold, confident!

C'mon Randy! That's not much more expensive than your HG QR A332 but comes with A LOT more details...and nice packaging too!

Go with the VN B772 and drop the JL B77W - hey, at least the fuselage is not white.

Yep, but that $300 was the then current bid price. I suspect it will end at around $400. It ends this afternoon somewhere around 1:00. Besides, apparently HE's 747s have swollen noses. lol

But that's a B772 though! Anyway, when it comes to cool JL T7s (B772, B773 & B77W), you know what I want most...
