I am looking forward to this. Nice scheme.
Agree western may be more accurate, but the Phoenix don't appear to fall apart... ![]() ![]()

They can be shipped without breaking if you know what you're doing. Looks to me as though the Phoenix has fallen apart around its grotesque nose wheel ! Graham Last edited by Graham Bridges; 12-07-2007 at 08:14 PM. |

Just a comment about the details for the Channel Air Bridge model. This wasn't 1980's scheme. G-ANYB was the first Carvair "built" in 1961 and I believe it rolled out in this scheme. The scheme didn't last too long as Channel Air Bridge were quickly absorbed in to the newly created British United. Freddie Laker being involved with whole concept of Carvair and the forming BUA I recollect. I don't think the CAB scheme lasted more than 2 years, up until 1963/4 perhaps, but it was very bright and cheerful.

Nice sunny day, so did a bit of 'plane spotting at Sywell.
Bit quiet, except for a surprise visit by a Channel Air Bridge ATL98 Carvair. ![]()
