Default Rumour or Fact

I heard some things that Phoenix won't be producing any more 727-100's in 1:200 scale. That the American, Pan Am, United, and Twa will be it. Anybody know if there is any truth to this?

Just a rumor for the moment and I hope it will stay a rumor as many of us expect some other 727 schemes.

It's a fact... so you can put it in your pipe and smoke it.

I recall the 1/200 scale 727-100's being produced by under a different name before Phoenix.

So maybe it will just be passed on to another manufacturer.

Herpas mould ... The factory was not supposed to use it for other companies like Phoenix ... Herpa has told them to stop whoring it out ... ergo no more Phoenix 721s.

or so the story goes.

would not surprise me. All the 'boutique' model names are basically borrowed or stolen moulds being used by greedy factory owners. None of them give a hoot about the hobby nor could tell the difference between an Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
