Default airlinemuseum.com Are They Still in Business???

Hey Guys, do you know if these guys are still in business? I have ordered from them in the past and haven't had a problem. But recently I checked a few times and noticed they're website hasn't been updated yet. Looks like they're still celebrating the holidays. I wrote to them a couple of time sand haven't had any response back. Anyone know if they're alive?

I don't feel comfortable about doing business with Airline Musuem.com anymore. In December; I had received a Vasp MD-11 that was broken (landing gear had been sheared off). Numerous emails went unanswered. I had placed a large order with them (in early March) and received an email from Scott wanting to know why I was returning it. Come to find out UPS had damaged it enroute. I mentioned to Scott that I was not pleased with his company because he did such a poor job responding to his customers. I am still waiting for the order but have decided that I will no longer do business with him. It's a shame because at one time he was doing an awesome job.

I agree with you, at one time they did a damm good job. I noticed they’re website hasn’t been updated. I get the feeling they’re approaching this as a hobby and not a business. There probably using this as a business write off. It’s too bad that they could not put someone in there at least to run the daily operations. I e-mailed several times to them and haven’t received a response either so I started dealing with Ed over at Aaron Supply Hobby for my Hogan stuff. It’s just too bad cause they were pretty good and they’re pricing was very good. But I guess good pricing does no good when the lights are on and no one is there!

The only thing I don't like is how they are the last major internet retailer to get things last (or so it feels like that). Unless its for a real low price, I'm going to pre-order from someone else, but they are usually good with instock items. I'm still waiting for a model that should have been there a month ago, that ONE model is holding the other two "hostage" (one of which I might never see since it was a popular release (which leads me to another thing I don't like, I ordered my herpa 1:500 TWA L1011 in November, and they sold out because of collectors who bought them in Jan/Feb before it was released. I emailed him, he said that I can spend a extra five dollars so I can get those two that are going to be in stock and get the TWA bird when it comes in (yeah that will happen.)) Lesson of that of course, is give the five bucks or you won't see what you ordered for a LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time. But I hope he does improve on the distributing times. He does have a good store, and usually replies to me within 48 hours or less.

The point of the thread is that the service quality at Airline Museum seems to have gone downhill recently. I've noticed the lack of updates, too, and I used them to buy the buildings for the model airport that I'm planning on building eventually.

I got a email yesterday from AM.com, apparently, they seem to be slow (well slower than usual) lately due to the fact that they are moving from Virginia to Conneticut soon. They also had some discounts, so if you signed up for their newsletter, you should have gotten this by now.
