Question Does Hogan have contact info??????

I really need some Hogan parts does anyone know if they have a website,E-mail,Phone number anything? I also would like to know if anyone of you know what these parts are called. They are the parts that come with the Hogan birds that cover the hole in the Fuse and wings with no gear in. I need two sets of wing covers (where the gears would be) and one fuse plug for gear up and on nose wheel wells for gear down. I need the fuse plug for my United OC 777 and the gear down wheel wells for my American 777. I have spoken with every Hogan dealer and they say they don't have them. I have read around these forums for some time and was hoping someone would know or perhaps someone from Hogan posted here.

I also would like to know if the Herpa 767-400 "Leading the way" comes with a stand and what would/does the stand look like.

Thanks to anyone that can help. I really need some help on this one.

I really don't need a pic. Just describe it. Is it clear and mounts to the wings or standard like Hogan?

Noone from Hogan posts, sorry. Daron (Airplane Shop) is the US distributor for Hogan; Socatec is their European counterpart. You can try them, but I don't think either keeps spare parts on hand.

Yea, I was wondering also when Hogan will get up to date in this Hi-Tech world and get a website. I mean come on, even Flight Miniatures & Skymarks has a website of their. What the hell is Hogan waiting for?

I have already tried Daron/Airplane Shop and they can help me with everything but the parts I need. I know you guys are not a big fan of Flight Minis and other cheaper brands,But I tell ya they have never let me down on spare parts. I would have thought for sure Hogan would have some sort of Contact info. I did a search last night on this site and I read that the models don't come with these parts anymore is that true? Anyone purchase a Hogan lately?

Delta,

I'm sorry to hear that you are not having any luck with the parts you are looking for. That's because I do not believe any of those parts were ever made by Hogan - if anyone knows better, please correct me. I only have 4 Southwest models from Hogan and the rest are exclusive to airlines and all of them don't come with the wheel well inserts/plugs. Although Daron WWT is the US distributor for both Hogan and Herpa, I don't think it's their fault for poor customer service. I had bought a Herpa Premium from a private collector in the past and one of the horizontal tail was chipped. I wrote to Herpa directly and they sent a new pair of tail. Ditto with SkyMarks - I wrote to Daron and a couple of weeks later, the replacement parts arrived from Taiwan. The conclusion is, if you want to consider about spare parts availability and good customer service, sometimes the manufacturer is a factor too. In this case, since Hogan does not make the parts you are looking for, I doubt they will be able to help you even if there is a contact info for them. Yes, I used to collect FM models too and I can agree with you that they never let you down on spare parts. As for the HE Boeing B767-400 model stand, please PM me with your e-mail and perhaps I can send you a pic. Frontier posted the pic for Hogan version of the model. Cheers!

Maybe with a little mod to these parts will fill-in the wells?

Brad

Brad,

I have thought of that I guess its my only choice.

D-AIHC,
I think I see what your saying but if Hogan never made them,Who DID? The Southwest models you have didn't come with them. But did it come with the gear down and gear up plugs for the nose? I really didn't want to have them on the gears all the time. I won't worry about the wings but it looks bad if you display the nose gear up without a plug.

Thanks

It doesn't look to hard to do the mod. I can remember that my Herpa Us Airways B737-400 came with the plugs. Then I lost them!!

Brad,
Thats pretty much what happend to me. So from what I understand here is that Herpa and Hogan are the same thing just Herpa NP are a little more detailed and are prebuilt.

Hi Delta Spirit,

I'm not to sure on all the blood lines in manufacturing these days. I just try to compare the same model types in all the company's molds then decide and knock on wood. I like the Herpa Preminums the best for over-all detail, but at $250-$300+ a pop and little selection it's a rare buy for me. I'm sure sombody here can explain the family tree of company molds.
Good luck in your gear-bay-door-pluggers!
Brad
