Default TWA 727-100 Phoenix ADVICE/HELP

I received my first Phoenix model yesterday. At first, I was very happy and pleased. Upon further review, the right engine had no fan blade or rear internal exhaust piece. The item was purchased from eBay user (mj_the_one, Clement Chan, Irvine CA). He claimed in the ad that it was new in box from factory. After contacting him regarding this, he only was offering a $10 refund off of the purchase price of $30. He charged $10 for shipping, then sent Parcel Post which cost him $6. He will not/cannot replace, will not give a FULL refund and claims I got a good deal because retail price is $60. What am I missing here? My winning bid price is inmaterial. He is painting this picture that I should just get over it and like what I got! He claims all sales are final but does not stipulate that in his ad. What? If this defect was stated in the ad, nobody would bid! I'm sure it was an oversight on his part regarding the defect, however this deal needs to made good.

First, has ANYBODY else had this problem with their engines on Phoenix 727-100's?
Second, am I in the wrong here for wanting resolution?
Last, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Hello,

The Phoenix 727 should have all the details like the Herpa one. You should contact Paypal and dispute the sale. DP

I have seen plenty that are missing the engine inserts ... the factory screwed up on a bunch of them. this, of course, is another reason to buy these in person or from a dealer ... and not on ebay sight-unseen

Tell him he is acting in bad faith, contact paypal and dispute the sale, and then leave him bad feedback.
