Smile Where to buy 1/200th

Hi guys. Up until this point, my primary collecting has been devoted to the 1/400th scale airliners, but more and more I see some really awesome releases in the 1/200th scale. Where is the best place to purchase such models, aside from the usual Ebay? Thanks

If you like what Hogan is producing you can go to Aaron suplly :
http://www.aaronsupplyhobby.com/default.asp

Their models are very good value, nevertheless you can't find some special and awesome models.
Otherwise it really depends where you live : North America, Europe...

Cheers Arno

Sure, Iīd always want to buy from a newbie with two posts only on DAC. Right.

Especially if both posts are about endorsing his own "shop", with a bosom buddy endorsing it as well. Nice try.

What's your problem?

I don't know this guy, just made contact a week ago, so no 'bosom buddies'

One of the most highly thought of dealers in this hobby recommended him, that was good enough for me.....

You must live a very sad life to be so negative all the time

One of the reasons I've stayed away from this sort of forum before is this kind of stuff...controversy and anomosity generated out of nothing. I should go on record that I did not know or deal with JustPlaneCrazy before two days ago and I don't even know who recommended him to me, but whomever it was, thank you! Please can we all just be nice and not cynical and negative? If you don't like me from just two or three posts, then you don't have to deal with me. My apologies for offending anyone for being self-serving in my initial post.

You donīt know the man, yet you endorse him? Great. Who recommended him, btw? Name names, please.

Skyrail probably is a good man, and I think I bought from him before via eBay and everything turned out 20/20, but endorsing somebody you donīt know or havenīt dealt with yourself because of hearsay seems dubious to me. Would you accept something alike on 400ch?

And no, my life is happy. Thatīs because, in real life, Iīm not censored like on 400ch. Think about that.

Default and from the UK......

I have dealt with Mr S on many occassions before, obtaining models that would have cost me a darn site more than if I had purchased locally... very helpful, returns emails and (like others) gives an excellent service...

Personally I am open to any new sources for 1/200 collecting as we dont have that many over here (and with pound dollar parity the US makes sense at present) If I can find Mr S from here, I would have thought most collectors would have come across Mr S ...

Well....that should be good for at least a ten dollar discount on the next Inflight..!!

But he did deal with him, so I'd imagine that's why he recommended him??

I don't really know any of the retailers I use but I'd still recommended them.

I did buy from him, I just got my first order as I indicated, fast communication, fast shipping and great prices so I posted feedback about my experience, what is the matter with that?

Again, you sole purpose in your posts is to be negative towards anything I post, your agenda is obvious as usual.....

Hapag has another agenda when he replies to my posts, sad but that is what this hobby has come to, it's all about taking jabs at people and nothing to do with collecting.....

And yes, as I said, I recommended him because my first deal was a winner and I will deal with Skyrail again

Read my reply on the other, 3 classic hogans or so, thread.

Agenda? Boo-hoo. Todd, like you have none? Go censor some posts, that may lift your spirits sky-high.

Anyway this thread is rather pointless as there has been no answer to the second post (15 minutes after the initial posting) which would indicate that the originator really aint that bothered in other people trying to assist.

My spirits are just fine, just because you don't like something doesn't effect me in the least

Interesting (and pointless) direction this thread has taken. I'm a novice at this form of communicating...I don't have enough time to do this regularly. But it would seem pretty destructive to keep going down this road. I'm hoping that this kind of stuff is atypical for this forum.

A quick note to Agent X20...I'd like to answer your other question about the Caravelle, but I'm not clear on what you were asking. Please restate and I'll see what I can do.

I thought the Swissair and Alitalia were yet to come from Hogan, i.e the 'current' Caravelle the Air France one was #1.. However on the other 1/200 Old Hogan thread, it gave the impression that these two are past models....

Your initial impression is correct. The distributor info on both the Swissair and Alitalia Caravelles in 1/200 scale indicates delivery around December 15th. I will have them both, but based on the way the Air France version flew out of here, advance reservations are suggested. if you're interested, contact me off forum at skyrailinc@aol.com for more details and pricing. If I don't get back to you immediately, don't panic. I'm prepping for the Boston show tomorrow and am a bit pressed for time.
