Default Pictures: Hogan Airbus House livery A380

Sorry, not on broadband.
The model looks really great with the naked eye.

more pictures i took.
i think Hogan did a good job on this mould (completely reworked from the earlier version with a transparent cockpit and ugly overall.
some remarkable aspects are the accurate APU, cockpit, landing gear doors, engines.
the house livery looks even better than the Air France version IMO, plenty of printed details on both by the way. too bad the malaysia version lacks most details.
hope to see more Hogan A380's, but i will probably not have parking space for these giants!!

That does look nice! I really like the new Airbus house colors. I think I might get this one.

did u guys notice the pylons and the engine details!?
i am in love with this chubby "little" fellow. It's one of those good things that come to those who wait! My new favourite.

I would only add the airline liveries for a complete representation of the test flight livery a few months ago...but I guess Hogan had some copyright problems with them. I am sure glad it reads F-WWOW on the fuselage and the underwing.

Very nice model. Great pics, thanks for sharing. I ordered mine from TopGun jp last weekend.

I attached some pics of 1/100 A380 that reached USD300 (160 + 80 shipping) previously sold on Chinese eBay auction. All pics are copyright of melbspotter.

More pics. Is the nose-gear is too long? All pics are copyright of melb_spotter

dg0816, Do you have the name of the manufacturer? I was first confused by the external feature and construction of the model and mistaken it as Risesoon A380. Didn't realize my mistake until seeing the picture of the Risesoon CI Dreamliner B744 in 1/200 scale next to it.....

tpemeister: Correct, it is by Risesoon. Heavy wooden base is clue that it will be marketed under SkyMarks brand.

But the engines are not moulded like other SkyMark models, they have spinning fan-blades and see through just like Hogan's engines.

According to melbspotter, no logo on box. Model is secured inside foam and shipped in plain box.

Thanks dg0816, I guess that Risesoon enlarge their 1/200 scale A380 into 1/100 scale. Thought the basic contruction look familiar... But, USD160, plus S&H. Wow, that's steep... Any idea where to get one? Thanks.

tapemeister:

The same guy (Wingsmodels) auctions various a/c models from his online shop at (English site):
http://stores.ebay.com/wingsmodels_W...toreviewQQtZkm

I wouldn't recommend Risesoon models, for about USD300 you can get much more better quality in custom-made ones such as Conquest models:-

This is made in UK (of course very $$$$), however, they make it according to your specs and your satisfaction. Heard that they make the A380 (pic) for VS' promotion shows. They are at:
www.conquestmodels.com

Another well-known custom-maker is Bader based in UAE. They produce 1/144, 1/200 and 1/100. No A380 yet, but see this 773 complete with humps and antennas. Awesome dude!!!

Thanks dg0816, I will look into them.... Happy collecting...
BTW, I think the Hogan A380 comes with either RR or GP engine options. Might want to check with your retailer about this.

There are no differences in the engine mouldings between the Hogan A380 (House) with RR Trent 900's and the AF model (GP).

The glaring fault is the nosegear doors. See my comments under the DLH A380.

Cheers!

Dr. C., Sorry for not being precise. Yes, the engine nacelles remain the same. But I think Hogan has difference parts replicating the fan blade of GP7200 and Trent 900 series.

Does the real trent 900 have the new curved fan blades or is it just straight like the old fashioned trents? The hogan house livery A380 comes with traditional fan blades instead of those curvy blades on the GE-90 moulded for the B777-300ER

Yes the Trent 900 titanium fan blades are curved - this is very apparent. They are virtually identical to the blades seen in the B777-300ER a/c - the Trent 900 is "derated" for the A380 but can achieve 90,000 lbs ++ thrust easily if "pushed" according to RR.

Cheers.
