Question InFlight200 DC-10....

Is this model still available on the market. If it is, can anybody tell me where can i get one? I've look everywhere who carries IN200 models, but so far all i found are the DC-8s.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanx,
Larry

Larry (what does upbns... mean?)

there are two versions of the DC10:
- the Inflight 200 Series which is not out yet. It will start probably with Lufthansa and - thatīs my guess - will cost around 180 EUR.
- the Inflight Limited Edition. There are several liveries with limited quantities around for some time: Delta, United CP, Finnair, Air Afrique and so on. They cost around 230 EUR IF they are still available. People may have talked about a model from this series.

Now, donīt ask me why there are two series. You should ask Vector for this one...

Below you see my UA DC10-10 of the Limited Edition:

I think I can help answer this question..

The InflightLE line, is a far more limited run than the Inflight200.

The IFLE's are hand painted, decaled, and made in runs of 20 or less. Infligh200's are printed, and made in runs of 200 pieces or more.

Big difference

Vector1 hasn't posted anything about the 744 for a while, even though I know he's back and posting about other things here on DAC.

I'm anxiously awaiting drawings/photos of what it'll look like, wondering if the final few paint changes were made.

The last impression I got about the UA B744 release is that it will be a couple of three months yet!

Hmmn, wonder if they're checking paint color/samples during that time. That is my current concern for it--that and the window arrangement.

Don posted this on the Jetstreams website today:

FYI: 8-10-2005
THE AMERICAN 707 LIGHTING BOLT AND AMERICAN CARGO ARE SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION MID AUGUST.
SHOULD BE IN DEALERS HANDS AROUND THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER.

THE BOEING 747-100 DEMO W/LOGOS AND THE CITY OF EVERETT SAMPLES SHOULD ALSO BE GOING INTO PRODUCTION THIS MONTH, WITH THE SAMPLES BEING SENT TO BOEING FOR APPROVAL. ONCE BOEING APPROVE THE MODELS THEN THEY WILL GO INTO REGULAR PRODUCTION, SO AT THIS POINT IN TIME WE CAN'T GIVE A RELEASE DATE.

Nope. No stands as of yet, but soon.

Do you have any IF's yet? If you don't, buy one soon! You'll be hooked.

I only have two at the moment (BOAC 707 and 747) but they are the pride of my model collection. Here's some pics of the 747 if you're interested:

Unfortunately no When i got hooked-up with model planes and started collecting, my first two models was a Hogan JAL 747-400 and a Herpa NWA 744 "World Plane"(both 1/200). After that, i saw a PACMIN 1/100 model of a FEDEX DC-10 and got hooked with 1/100 scale. So far most of my collection are 1/100 desktops but i think i'm gonna switch back to 1/200 as they dont take up much space when you display them unlike their bigger brothers Just a while ago, i won a 1/200 CX772 on eBay and i just ordered a Hogan KoreanAir 772 also this morning.

But for sure, i'm gonna watch out for the IF200s UAL 744 to come out.

BTW BA, nice pics Thanx for posting them.

Does the BOAC release lack the fairing at the leading edge of the h.stab root? Kinda looks like it does. Is that standard with the releases using the SATCOM antenna aft of the hump?
