Thumbs up Just Received

I have been looking to purchase for over 4 years and finally just the other day on ebay there it was.......a WESTERN MODELS CONSOLIDATED CONVAIR B-36 PEACEMAKER with a buy it now price that was about 120.00 cheaper than the what the manufacturer sells it for. And this model was brand new in never displayed mint condition.

Obviously I purchased it and the seller took great extra care to take it to the UPS STORE and have it carefully packed and shipped.

I am a very happy camper.

Now all I need are the WESTERN MODELS C-124 GLOBE MASTER and the USAF RC-121-WA upper and lower radome constellation to complete my WESTERN COLLECTION. A great day indeed. Thanks for looking.

Hey Mike- Congratulations on your purchase. I have always loved my B-36 (even though it has a crack in the fuselage, and a resulting bit of tail droop). I did get a C-124 recently, direct from Western- apparently they did some more after a hiatus of years. Have you heard any more about the future of Western's airplane production? It really seems to have slowed down (from slow to stop- although I saw on their website that the L-1649 Trek was just released).

It would be nice to have one of those IL-14s in Cubana colors.

Talking Speaking Of Cubana

Adamjets' Miami Customs made me a 1/200th scale Western Models Britannia in the 'old' lat 50's early 60's paint scheme. And it is absolutely beautiful. When I get a means to photograph and then post it here I will so you all can check it out, along with of couple of other customs from them which are the PAN AMERICAN Boeing 377 Stratocruisers. later WR
