Default Opinions About Hogan

I've never purchased or for that matter, ever seen a Hogan product. How do they compare to the other model jet manufacturers? Also, are these die cast aircraft or something else

"Thanks" Joseph

DC-3, NAMC YS-11, de Havilland Dash 8, Lockheed Constellations and the soon to be released Concorde and Comet are diecast with some plastic parts (rudder, stabs), the other Airbus and Boeing planes are plastic like Herpa.

Hogan/Socatec (Air France, Corsair, UTA) and Hogan/airmail (Swissair, Swiss) are as detailed as Herpa NP. Hogan/ANA Trading Company (ANA) have even more details than Herpa NP.

Sascha, how do you know that???

Comet - another MUST in my collection! And the Concorde would be nice together with my TU-144.

Default Thanks for the Info

I've got some Sky Marks & FlightMinatures as far as plastics go. I've even have several Atlantics. Not so detailed of models but still make for great conversation pieces. The best one I have is a 1/130 scale NWA 747-400. I'd love to find a 747SP that same size & price range. But I think I'll stick with 1/200. Too many great airliners coming out in the near future (InFlight "Eastern" 747 )

"Thanks Again" Joseph

One of the things I most enjoy about Hogan models is that their models are relatively heavy (certainly heavier than Flightminiatures). Of course, many of their models come with landing gear, and engines rotate/are see through. For their price, Hogans are also well-detailed, although not as detailed as Herpa 1:200s.

Sorry for asking again: Can we expect a Comet or a Caravelle from Hogan - no matter which livery?
