Default Hogan, what are the chances?

Hey Hogan, what are the chances of ever releasing blank models at a lower prices?

I build Hasegawa kits and some of the hogan releases would be good as blanks that can be customized to whatever we like.

The 737 variants and the 757's would be good starters since Hasegawa does not make those. Others would be welcome also, like the Airbus wide bodies.

DLmd11: Looks like your prayers have been answered. Hogan-Platz has just released a series of all white model (w/ landing gears) in 1/200 scale: A320, 767 and 744.

Platz (though a small co. which is mainly produces NB a/c kits) is well known in Japan for its decals and photo-etched parts in 1/144, etc.

And it has just launched an 1/200 Pan Am 747SP.

I have built this model, and their L.1011-500 conversion (requires a Hasegawa kit for wings, stabs and gear). They are made of "non styrene plastic". Very good quality, but very high price - Japanese price converted to US$$ for the 747SP gave it a retail price of $75.

I have a few 1011-500 conversions left.... SP's are sold out at the moment.
I also stock the etch detail sets...

Thanks!

To dg0816,

Do you know if Hogan also comes out a blank white 744 with Rolls Royce engines, just like when Hogan released its QANTAS 744.

If Hogan does plan to release a blank white 744 with Rolls Royce engines, my idea is to put the old Cathay Pacific (2 white strips) decal & the old British Airways (landor scheme) decal into this fantastic models since I don't think any manufacturer will make these schemes anymore in 1:200 scale...!

DG0816,

Where can the white Hogan 747 models be bought? I am thinking of asking anyone out there to help me custom make a SIA Cargo 747-400 Freighter model in 1:200 scale. Such as in the link below. Thanks for the info and Happy New Year.

Boeinglover:
Happy New Year too. The white model is made by Platz-Hogan co-development. Tokyo's TopGun shop currently sells all 3 Platz models. They can be ordered online (744 costs 2,310Y), go to website and click Platz logo (unfortunately, its in Japanese language):
http://www.top-gun.jp/default.html

Alternatively, you can order the white model by calling/faxing (some staff can speak limited English):
TOPGUN
DAI-NI CHUUEI building 2nd Floor, 1-11-9, Sotokanda, Chiyodaku, Tokyo, Japan 101-0021
TEL +81-3-5289-9611 FAX: +81-3-3255-8282

Or try at (white model is listed as item "0640106400481 PLATZ CANVAS SERIES 1/200 B747-400"):
http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/cgi-bin/...word=&joption=

There are no SQ MegaArk models readily available in the market. Therefore, you may have to custom-make it. 3 alternatives, you can try either:
Order livery from Airline Hobby Supplies LLC (you are in luck, 1/200 SQ 744F livery is available as per catalog):
http://www.airline-hobby.com/kitdecal.pdf
http://www.airline-hobby.com

Lysia co. of HK (which produces custom-made a/c according to customer specs):

email: lysiahk@lysia.com.hk
phone: (852) 2790 0547
fax: (852) 2790 4459
address: Unit 7, G/F, HITEC,1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong

Risesoon/Everrise co. of Taiwan (which produces SQ 777, A345, 744 in 1/200, 1/130, etc).
RISE SOON INDUSTRIAL CORP.
No. 97 San Long St. Sulin, taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C.

P.O.Box 79 Sulin, Taipei

757fixer:
The SP is a newly launched product. Go to website, SP model is listed as item "0640106400201 PLATZ 1/200 B747SP Pan Am":
http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/cgi-bin/...word=&joption=

Diecaster:
The 744 white model doesn't feature RR engines. Maybe you need to transplant the RR engines from another 1/200 744 for your Landor scheme. Apart from Hogan, Risesoon/Everrise is also in the market (see reply above).

Regarding Landor livery, go to website and look for item "DW20-747-16":

Update on engine kits

Found out that BraZ makes various engine kits in 1/200 and 1/144.
RR RB 211-524 engines
