I think he meant he bought it in a Cathay Store in HKG, price is (US?)$70 includes shipping in USA.

i saw this model in bangkok last week and sells for around the same price. one thing i notice is that the landing gear do not "hang". do they in the real plane? i think they do, i've check some images and watched 777s land in bkk and the landing gears actually hang.

Axis, if you want properly sprung landing gear, go for a Herpa Premium 747.

Note that with the Boeing 777-300 the main gear does not "hang" like the 747 to prevent tail skidding on the runway in t.off/landing. There is a "locking mechanism" used.
Oh and the talked about 777-400 is still a "paper concept". Cheers!

....and i wish they'd used metal axles for the wheels instead of plastic. starjets use them and starjets are cheaper, only thing though is they don't make wide body aircrafts but competition will be tighter if they do since they make better details. try rolling a herpa and it feels plastic, try rolling a starjets and it feels like real rubber.
