Default 1:200 737-200

I am new to the 1:200 world and would love to buy a 737-200 for my collection. The livery is quite open but a carrier from the "left"side of the pond would be a bonus. So far I have the Herpa Premium ANZ 747-400 and UAL 727-200. I am looking for something as close to that quality as possible. The problem is that I have heard mixed opinions of the Skyline products and I am not sure what else is out there. Any suggestions?

Try an Inflight model. They are available from www.jetstreamsusa.com I recently received my first Inflight model, a United 737-200 in the current color scheme. They are diecast with really nice detail, including antennas, anti-collision lights, and rubber wheels. In my opinion, the Herpa Premium Series models are still the best, but these the Inflight models in the 1:200 scale are the next best.

Thanks for the response. I didn't even think of Inflight. How is the engine (fan blades) detail? Also, how long did it take to get you UAL 737-200? I see that you have to preorder it.

The fan blade detail is good, but unlike the Herpa Premium Series models they do not spin when you blow in to them. Although, on my Herpa Premium 737-300's, I don't think the blades spin like they do on the 747-400 and A300-600 models.

The Inflight United 737 was in stock when I ordered mine, so I had it within a week. Another source for the Inflight Models is Aviation Retail Direct in London. I've been trying to get a United DC-10 from them, but they are proving difficult to deal with. I only wish Jetstreams USA hadn't sold out of the DC-10.

Well I went with the Casino Express from Jetstreams. It wasn't in stock (neither was the United), so I am sure I'll have to wait. I will post some pics when it arrives. Thanks again for the help.
