Question Question for B-HUJ

Hi B-HUJ,

on tuesday I was at the Berlin International Tourism trade fair and saw a Dragonair A330 model at the Cathay booth. It was very interesting since it had its gears down and was in 1/200 size.

Unfortunately I had no time so I couldnīt talk to the CX staff; so do you know something about this model?

Thanks in advance

Nobbe

BTW: I want my CX A346, too!

Nobbe,

I have heard about the model you mention. I also heard it is a marketing premium so apparently it is not for sale (?)

I will contact my friends in Cathay. I have not seen the model at CX headquarters last month, but I will try to find out if it is available with Dragonair, which is "across the street"

Nobbe, Dragonair and Cathay are on a dispute for three China routes...so there is some rivalry between the "mother and the daughter" within Hong Kong, so it is quite amusing to think of a Dragonair model in a Cathay booth, at least in Hong Kong.

I want that model as well. Let's keep each other informed.

Nobbe,

sorry to keep you waiting, but I am waiting as well! there does not seem to be any answer from my friends in CX.

on the other hand, can you help me a little bit with the search?
all I know about Dragonair models is this:

http://www.lysia.com.hk/ka_html/330.htm

Seems they only produced 1/500 and 1/100 models, w/o landing gear. Do you know if it was made by hogan or some other manufacturer? I am not too pessimistic, but I am starting to believe it will be very hard to obtain the model you mentionned.

Paul

Sorry, B-HUJ

I canīt help you on this. All I can say that it was definitely not in 1/100 (most probably in 1/200) and gears down. I even had not the time to stop at the CX station let alone speak with them, I only saw the model from a 5 m distance.

Hi All,

My friend in KA has given me a 1/200 Herpa Dragonair Cargo gears down, which is very nice quality. Rego B-KAA. With wing details.

The model comes with a big white box.

He is getting me the A330 for me next week too.

B-HUJ have you seen the CX Cargo model which mention in lysia website?? I really want that model too

(Are you in Hong Kong?)
I would like to get the A340 if its sold at a reasonable price.
