Herpa is sleeping. Gemini, IF200 or anyone will make a killing if they come out with this beauty.

I have one Il-62 in 1/200 and it is terrible representation! I think for sure we are ready for that!

Die cast or plastic I don't care, just give us an accurate 1/200 Il62!

Definitely, I need a decent stable mate for my CCCP Il-76, Tu-134 and Tu-154.

Oh YES!

I'd want a CCCP IL62 as well as a Czech Government as well as an Czech "OK" 1980/1990 livery.

Yes, I'm for a 62 too.

It's not very important if it's a IL-62 or e IL-62M, just bring it in the colorful Tarom livery of the 1970ies-1980ies.

A proper, detailed and metal diecast IL62M is a holy grail for me.
Aeroflot, Interflug, LOT, Malev, Air Koryo, Air Ukraine, Cubana and on and on and on.........
Herpa delayed their plastic IL62M project due to "troubles" with the factory so you could expect another player to jump in for the $$$ but somehow they do not.
Most of the current manufactures just have other priorities at this moment and want to keep up with all the modern stuff that market is asking for.

Time will tell.

Yes! Got 1/144 Zvezda to fill gap right now, but would prefer my common airliner scale...

I made the mistake of selling my CAM 1/200 IL-62's CSA, Aeroflot and Soviet VIP Transport when the rumors were buzzing in 2014 that Herpa was ready to pop one out. I even confirmed it with the powers to be...Shows how much I know.....I got a nice penny for them, but now regret selling... Should have hung onto them...

I do hope a descent IL62 model .this aircraft is a part of aviation transport History. This ONE has been so usefull for the democratic republics in the 70s and 80s .
To be honest , I hate to have seen an aeroflot A310 supplanting an IL62 .
I had the same feeling when I saw Panmam flying theses same piggy twins instead of lauching the 743 on those same periods

Actually TAROM YR-IRB wasn't an IL-62M but an IL-62. TAROM's IRA, IRB and IRC were original IL-62s, the later delivered IRD and IRE were IL-62M with the better engines.

I have to concur there.

It was a beautiful machine to see flying.

I myself am partial to T-tails. They just have that something extra.

My memories of the few occasions when I saw the IL62, TU-134 and TU-154 is golden memories.

I'm not a big fan but i still voted, i might be interested in both the LOT & Interflug versions... I always found the arrangement of all four engines at the rear of this aircraft very unusual...

Ok EC, I voted yes. Here is why.Plain and simple a good diversity of aircraft should be made in our scale is 1:200
this will fill gaps for many collector's

Tomorrow, I 'll vote for a new President, today, I vote for an Il 62.

But please, no "good enough" model, there are a few people among us who are able to give good advice, please listen to them !

Making a model is a team work, excluding those who know can lead to a disaster.

Jean Pierre.
