Question Hogan, Risesoon, Herpa NP: Why no BA releases??

Well I usually only collect 1/400 scale models, but I have seen (and bought a couple) Hogan, Herpa NP and Riseoon models and I must say (for the price) that they are very nicely done. Much better than (say 2-3 years ago) what Wooster would have offered.

My one question is, why no British Airways releases? Is it a licensing issue? I mean, their moulds are nice IMO, and they would look perfect with a few of the World Tails or even some Landors. So will we be seeing any BA releases soon?

Please share your comments/info,

The deal might be like 1:400 and 1:500, where only one company makes BA planes in each scale. We already have three BA's from StarJets 1:200, so maybe they got the license.

Sigh... I was fearing this. Well I guess we won't be seeing any widebody BA models in this scale. Atleast for a while

I'm really big on Hogan Wings... even though they're less detailed than the 1/400s out there. Plus, they're not limited editions so you don't have to scramble all over the web to find them.

Unfortunately, Hogan doesn't seem to make any UK or other European carriers yet. They have the moulds- I would love a BA B777-200 & 747-400 with the Union Flag tail.

it would be perfect to have a 747-400 Chelsea Rose!!
or a 777-200 Hong Kong!...or almost any World Tail in 1/200!
i am getting impatient for the SJ 757's!

Question

You do know that Starjets 200 has done the BA A319 and is also comming out with British Airways B757 in the world tail's Hong Kong scheme as well as the new color scheme.
Herpa has also done the Deutsche BA with the edelweiss tail, not exactly BA but a subsidiary at that time.

These models are quite nice!!!

Ya, I've seen the SJ in person and I think it's a very nice model, but was hoping for some wide-body's. Like the 772 and 744. But I may get one of the 757's once released....

I'm here waiting for some 772 and 744 as well.
Too bad Hogan/Herpa don't do any BA releases...They already have the moulds! I know you are more into the Landor thing, I would like more "World Tails" myself
Anyway, at least we have some 757 to look forward to.

Default Herpa/BA

I wonder what the next Premium 747-400 livery will be?

Cheers!
