Following their metal/plastic YS11, Hogan are launching two DC3 models, both in 100% metal at 1:200 scale very soon. Both will be in French liveries as a starter,
Cheers!

Good news for 1/200 collectors,
I remember "Tapemeister" showed me some hogan prototypes a while ago. He is either gone or changed his "callname". Haven't seen him in a while. hey, Tapemeister; if u are reading this, give me a sign! |

I am still alive. Got a new job and don't have enough time to surf the net anymore. Glad to know that Hogan will finally release the DC-3s. By the way, B-huj, how have you been????

Hogan is releasing more in diecast in larger scales? Wonder if they'll start doing current airliners like the the lone 1/300 scale EVA Air 744. Sometimes I think the 1/400 scale people are so crazy about is just a little too small, like a Matchbox car. I buy the Hogan 1/200 snap-fits often because of this reason, plus the Hogan snap-fits are far better quality than the other 1/200 snap-fits out there, at least in my opinion. Eat your heart out RiseSoon!

That is pretty good news! And French livery!? That is even better news! I was already starting to think about, which Japanese Airlines used the DC-3...... ![]() |

and i hate it when that brand-bashing is brought here into 1/200...(namely the tucano-aeroclassics eternal dispute for the holy grial of tiny metal airplane models) sounds so stupid to defend or attack any manufacturer! they don't even pay for our defense...it is even worse when the actual "owner" of the brand comes to insult its competitors....and vice versa. finally, i must reckon risesoons are not as sleek as hogan/herpa. i only have one risesoon so far and that is the tropical megatop. i think any manufacturer has the right to improve their products, and we, of not purchasing what we don't like. keep them coming! (the models i mean) |
