Default rate the Herpa Premiums

I have been tempted to pick up a Herpa Premium, but wonder about the quality and detail of the model. Are you pleased with the model and how would you rate it against the Inflight models (which I happen to be very pleased with)?

Congratulation on your latest acquisition, a weathered B737 Lufthansa.

Default Inflight Models

These are the best 1:200 models available. Speak to Buzzbee about their range of a/c right now.

Cheers!

Thumbs up X-mas was early this year

My model finally arrived from Singapore this afternoon. As fa as I see, I got the best end of the deal.
The model was described as "very very yellowed". Yes it's yellowed, but it's a very soft coloration and for the price I got a real bargain. I'll do my best to post a pic this weekend as soon as I find somebody with a camera to borrow.
The former owner was very carefull to send it in a safe package

Inflight makes a very nice model.
They lost me when some time back they rejected my order forcing me to buy from an US retailer.
Their loss. Now I have heard that they are selling worldwide again... for smaller types in 1/200 they are the best alternative, eventhough you can not get exactly what you want.

Out of curiosity, lets find out if you got a very rare gem..

on the card that comes with it, or on the belly of the aircraft, does it say LHV?

Nope!!
Nothing on the the belly of the aircraft, and the card reads:

Lufthansa
Model Edition M 1:200
Zertifikat
modelnummer 4012

and the other side

Die Boeing 737-300 D-ABXC "Delmenhorst"
and some technical data about the plane.

aww too bad.. LHV means:

"A few select number of the B737-300 D-ABXC "Delmenhorst" aircraft carry LHV on the belly in addition to the other stampings. The abbreviation "LHV" stands for "Lufthansa Vorstandsmodell", indicating a Lufthansa model of the director's board. A small amount of about 150 numbered and marked "LHV" models were produced in addition to the regular sales edition of 5000 pieces. The LHV stamping was done to avoid a conflict with the limited edition's collectors market. These served as the directors' boards giveaways to VIPs and selected passengers. These LHV models may be regarded as rarities. "

I have LHV #144 in my collection..

(my real prize is the A300 Stade, model #0002!!)

Post Note to Wings

Yup, my is just another one out of 5,000. You must be pretty happy to have a "corporate" one. I hope you do not mind if I ask how did you get to have your LHV model? It really great to get those special items that not many people get or appreciate.

BTW: for me this is my gem and the most fine/accurate reproduction of the real thing I got. It's pretty hard not to look at it as much as I do. evey time I get my 737 out of the box feels like X-mas again.
Thanks for all the replies
