Default Ethiad A330-300 Visit Abu Dhabi A6-AFA Eagle

This is my very first Eagle model of Etihad there is no Jewell lights but that is all that's missing. The stand is very sturdy compared to the plastic one supplied with my 787-8 Jetstar release. I don't know why people don't post their reviews of Eagle / Phoeinx but here is a few pics. The only other question I have is, why are these models being released at a very high price everywhere around the globe are they very limited? I remember Crownvic posted his copy at least a few years ago now which was plastic, this lead me to this purchase of this diecast copy and I am very happy with it. The mould and the landing gear is no bad at all. So that's a thumbs up for me.

I recently ordered the Etihad A330-200 new colors and was very disappointed with the lack of quality. Virtually no detail, and the gear was absolutely terrible. I have stopped buying Phoenix/Eagle all together. Last few that I have purchased I was not happy with the low quality for the high price. Most of their models are now more expensive than Gemini/JC Wings. Crazy! I'd love to have this Etihad model as I collect that airline, but not willing to pay the high price for these models.

I've heard from several retailers that Phoenix/Eagle models are not selling well, and some only take orders for pre-order only and don't regularly stock them.

Nice photos, and the model doesn't look too bad. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm going to have to disagree. I own several Eagle models including the one posted above and I praise them for going out of the way and doing liveries that others wont touch. Their moulds are not that bad and yes they may not have all the detail, but it still fills a void..yes the pricing is much higher then the others but good news is that JC will usually do it for less, 6 months later!

I have to agree with Crownvic. The Eagle models are not that bad and make models that no one else has done available to the public. Some Eagle models are actually pretty good, thinking of their A340-600 mold now. I actually prefer that mold to the JCW one, mainly due to the shape of the nose and cockpit window printing, although the window printing could be a little darker on this model.

And specifically, the JCW A330 model isn't that great either. In this case, this model may be a better choice.

Totally agree with you that they do liveries that are out of the norm and that is great to see! I'd love to have this particular Etihad model myself but the price is so much higher that I don't think it's worth it. Maybe I can find it at a good price some day, second-hand. Hoping that JC will do it...eventually.

I have owned several 787's by Phoenix, and they are nice. That's probably their best mold.

In my opinion, I would take a Phoenix/Eagle 1:200 a330 over a Gemini200 one. While the Phoenix/Eagle models lack detail, the overall mould looks more accurate from what I've seen. They pretty much nailed the nose shape. The RR engines seem to be more accurate than Gemini too. Gemini's noses on the a330/340 are hideous. If Gemini/JC would revise the nose and engines, they'd have a better model. I don't own any Phoenix/Eagle 1:200, but if they release an Air Seychelles or Air Cairabes A330, I'll have to get them.
