After I have read the announcement I needed a new set of underwear

Two holy grails will come true: The Dash7 and my faithful Transall C-160. I can't believe it. I will buy every Transall Luftwaffe release and the Lufttransportgeschwader (LTG) 62 from Wunstorf (near Hannover) is an excellent start.

Both will be metal / diecast.

Thank you so much for announcing this, Mathieu! One small correction:
The Junkers F13 is in 1:87 scale.
BTW: In 1:400 Herpa announced a SWISS CS-series, so a 1:200 could follow soon.

I think that I will need to convince the AF museum that a Transall with La Postale livery would make a great model.
I'm afraid it will be difficult …

Nobody interested in the Lufthansa 707??? I know the mould has its issues - but I'll give it a chance. I wonder if the model will be released in the 1960s delivery-colours or in later liveries.

I'm exited to see the Lufthansa 707. I got the pan am release and I like it despite its flaws. Also like the C-160.

According to this picture the model will come in the delivery-colours of March 1960... Note the HF-antenna on the right wing.

Unfortunately not. I was excited to see this one released, but seeing the picture I felt something wasn't quite right, especially in the front area.

The nose appears a bit too thin, radome is off shape, and NLG is definitely wrong (too small and too low). Tail fin looks a bit off shape too, but I could have lived with that.
Some details are lacking too, like the burnt metal exhaust. Not very impressive for a 1/200 model !

Once again disappointed by Herpa...

Ah, a 1/200 DHC-7 appears on Shapeways as a 3D print you can buy (not mine), then some months later Skyclassics start selling a 1/200 ready made close match to that 3D model in low volume white metal. Then a few months later Herpa bring one to the market. While being good news to consumers these guys aren't really bright in the R&D department.

"InFlight" managed to release their 707-430 with an HF-antenna...

You've got me puzzled with the HF-antenna on the 720. I can't see an antenna on this aircraft...

Two pictures but no real answer.

First photo taken somewhere on the Lufthansa network : no HF antenna.
Second picture, certainly over the US, the HF antenna is there ….

Yes that has been delayed for so long. But now I got the inflight version and it's a great looking model. Currently thinking about adding the new white scheme Inflight Swissair 747-300.

Well , I will give a chance to this Model . It Will look like the 707-328 one . When you have It in hands , you realize , It is a Fine Great Mould . With the 720-030B , these both models show the entry DLH into JET Age Period (1962 High Tailed 707 delivery colours )

Well , I am sure they had one when they were delivered . Your pics has been taken in HKG towards 1964 . The 720Bs were not delivered in these Colors .

I always thought the wing antenna was only on 707-4xx 707-3xx only had tail fin antenna.

re the mould I fear the same thing has happened on this as the DC8. It just looks short and stumpy.

Right . Most of 707-320 have no HF antenna on the right wings, except 707-328 (AF) and 707-329 (SN) . Nethertheless the HERPA Model I got has no HF antenna , I don't mind .
