Smile I got my first Hogan model today!

My Hogan Unted 747-400 and landing gear came in the mail today. Although it is not as detailed as the Herpa model, it's not a bad looking model for under $30. I'm glad that Hogan is expanding their line of models and I believe that the quality of their products is going to improve as well. What do you think!

I like Hogan models especially for their price. My first Hogan was the United 777, I bought a second one for my dad and now he is collecting some hogan models.

hmmm. hogan is herpa's 1/200 behind-the-scene manufacturer...but their own product line is wider, although models tend to have less details esp on wings. prices are excellent compared to herpa NPs...but some planes don't even have reg. numbers

on the other hand, i saw the 747-400 they produced for taiwanese EVA air. "cut here in emergency", "no step", engine warnings, reg no on nose gear door... and a lot of small details. quality is close or better than previous ANA Jumbo! of course, it is not as cheap as regular hogans and probably you can only buy it from EVA air....

Thumbs up HOGANS

I like them very very much, and they are expanding their selection to more exotic and out of the ordinary airlines, which I love. However have any of you noticed a little gap around the B747 cockpit window frames in these models?

well, now that you mention it, yes, on every 747 there is a little gap in the lower part of the cockpit windows...
wondering if herpa NPs will have that too....

Oh yah!!

I am also hoping to make some orders on Hogans but must be sure that most comments are favourable before embarking on spending this money.

Could someone out there kindly post more picture on Hogan Wings models, thanks.

Cheers

Thumbs up

Hogan Wings are pretty good quality for a reasonable price. I have their AA 777, AA 737, AA retro 757, SW 737-700, UA 777 & AC A320. They do lack some details but the graphics are well-printed. They still don't have their own website.

My first order of Hogan's arrived today (everything currently available). They're beauties! Make Woosters look like junk!

I call it "stock" when my better half asks....

.... seriously, AHS has just added Hogan's to our list of available diecasts and pre-made models. An introductory sale is ongoing (contact me if curious....), so I don't expect many to hang around long enough to become part of my collection (well.... maybe the TWA and AA Retro 757's).

I got the Hogan TWA 757 today and it looks sharp! I bought the gear and painted hubs on them. The best looking TWA 757 model yet!

Oh, you sell them. I thought you were a collector who bought all 40 or so models Hogan currently makes for your personal collection.

I wish I had the space! (and the $$$ !!!).
I have decided to "keep" an AA 'Retro' 757 as a "display sample", so assembled it, and glued the mains on. Looks great! Wanted to hang on to a TWA 757 too - but sold all in my first shipment already!

Oh well... maybe next order.....
