Default Cathay Pacific "Silver Bullet" 744 freighter

We have had this bird for a few months now and wonder if it is indeed as rare as some are saying it is.

If so, should we sell it?

It is at the moment, but there is another version coming out in 2016 on the new JC Wings 744 mould which will not have the wing join issue that this Inflight mould you speak of has. Once that happens, good bye old mould!

I think this one is rare. But...like said above there is a JC Wings coming in the next few months so might bring down the value of this one a bit.

When did JC Wings announce that they were going to release this plane?

Where was this announcement made? I didn't see anything on their fb page, I didn't see any -400 freighters announced at all. I was hoping CARGOLUX, ATLAS and MEGA ARK would make an appearance in 744F guise before more repeats tbh.

Hi Guy's, Is it this one Jc Wings XX2854P B747-400BCF CATHAY PACIFIC
B-HUR, as ARD have this listed for December 2015 release, but I think I saw this in the shop last month, I remarked about it having windows, was with the Flying Tigers B747's when they came in, also has polished fuselage.

Yeah, I still prefer the IF200 pure freighter over the BCF in this case, even if the latter is a JCW production. It was on my hit list until the JAL Super Logistics 742F was released, which is a stunning bird as well. I have the Air France -BCF which I'm happy enough with.
I would guess therefore, given there is no other CX mirrored 744F on the market nor any in the pipeline, that this original B-HUL would still command a decent premium. If I owned one, personally it would definitely be a keeper.

I don't really know if it's rare or not, (Sorry!), but I would keep it if I had it. I like the silver and the green on the freighter. Looks very well!

IIRC this one is limited to 60 pieces only. I had one, too, but sold it one or two years ago.

I'm not sure if you started a rumour mill Rocky, but there seems to be a plethora of these going up on eBay at the moment...I netted a copy last week for the mental price of £55!

There are another TWO online at the moment...bit more expensive, but not crazy...one is £125 but with free postage...worldwide! The other is based in Japan and is also around £125, but with shipping as well...I'm not sure if the claim only 60 of these were made is true, if so, then this is a good opportunity to get one, either way if you want a beautiful freighter, this is the one to get.

It is a lovely model, and one of my favourites. When I received mine, I received a few "would you like to sell it?" enquiries, to which I replied "no" and directed the DAC members to eBay, where there were at least two for sale at the time, for quite reasonable (less than $300 USD IIRC) prices. Its not a particularly rare model IMO, and as has been mentioned, with the new release coming, values of the original are about to tank.

Seems weird though, the values tanking I mean, as the 'new' release is a -BCF, as well as a 747-200F from JFox...neither look as clean as the pure freighter in my opinion. This and the JAL Super Logistics bird look smashing. I'm not going to complain at the sellers error though, £55 for any IF200 747 is awesome, for this, well its mind blowing. I think this ranks as one of my cheapest 1:200 747 purchases ever.

The new release though is not the same plane. It is not polished I do not think

With the new announcements keep filling the market,NONE model is rare any more. I was bidding last week for the B747-400F but on my last bid l lost wireless Internet connection and I miss the model. In fact I received the new JC B747-200F Silver Bullet and the model has fix wheels but the overall finish is outstanding. For the new price of €159.95, not cheap any way! !

Happy Holidays, Modesotos

P.S. If some one has one for sale, please send me a P.M.
