Very nice! I have the Continental version and it is nice! I'm tempted to get this one too!

Looks very nice BUT- still the same 200Adv pylons used!! Inflight200, even the long nacelle JT8Ds had narrow pylons on ALL 737-100 & 200 'basic' aircraft. Only the 200Adv had these pylons.
737-100 long nacelle

737-200 'basic' long nacelle

737-200Adv

Why bother going to the effort of correctly developing tooling for short nacelle engines (which of course I am grateful for), and completely ignoring the pylon on them long nacelle JT8Ds?

It will regrettably be a no deal from me on all long nacelle 100 & 200 'basic' aircraft until this is corrected - if at all!!

I suspect almost no diecast manufacturer is aware of the difference in 737 pylons. And even fewer care enough to actually mold up different versions.

It looks to me like they simply "shortened the -200" fuselage as well, and didn't give it the -100's unique aft wingroot fairing.

Same thing--why go through the trouble and expense of molding a new fuselage, only to not change all the things needed on the fuselage?

Answer---lack of knowlege/care about what really differentiates the variants. Same thing happened with Dragon's 1/400 DC-10-10. They molded a unique fuselage without a center belly gear--yet still made the fuselage itself a version that only -30's had.

I understand your point David - it just seems such a shame. There are no shortage of photographs online for reference, yet I bet hardly any are used for reference in the design of specific parts - just for livery accuracy only!!

It seems like a 95-98% accurate Pan Am 737-200 'basic' will forever be just a dream. JC-Wings of course has a brilliant mould, but them 200Adv pylons was such a glaring error (to me), and the same issue is true of this IF200 731 sadly!!

With your passion for accuracy David, I cannot wait to see this new MD11 mould you are working on with Seattle Model Aircraft!!

Are those titles in white? If so, another glaring error.
