Default INFLIGHT TWA Convair 880...Pics!

ok, so here she is...first, have to say that I loooove the new box, not only for the artwork, but also for the new foam/protection inside, this is good, very good !
Artwork looks really good as well, like an old airline advert, or poster, very evocative and retro ! Love it !

The model, ah, yes, the model...it does look like the real thing, great attention has been given to the whole model, but one can see that the faceted cockpit windows and nose area in general truly look like a Convair 880, and for me, thats what models are all about !!!
check for yourselves

I'd like to suggest a larger grey radome area, and a smaller black tip, which I think has already been done in the Swissair CV880!?
part from this, nothing else to say !

More details:

Engines, and you'll love knowing this,
( IF has since improved these, the exhaust part is now part of the engine, as the real thing and as suggested by some of you!!!)

TWA model:

Future models:

Great news he!?

Brilliant. Thank you for the effort to photograph the 880 in such detail for us. It is wonderful news about the upgrades to future models. I bet the Delta will look simply amazing.

Thank you Rui, I think you convinced many of us to buy this model.
I have mine in my glass cabinet.

Inflight was very quick to react about the noise suppressors … IMPRESSIVE …
I appreciate this kind of cooperation between the manufacturer and the collectors.

Excellent in avery aspect.

Jean Pierre.

Great pics Rui! Errr quickly! Go over there and see what's going on with your maintenance guy.

Fantastic that Inflight solved the issues so quick.
One question though. did a part of the Swiss CV880 run got the updated engines?
The HB-ICL from Graham has the old version and your pic shows HB-ICL updated.

Looking forward to see the upcoming releases!
The CV880 is awesome so can you imagine how beautiful the CV990 will be?

Not all is bad, we all agree, this model/mould took them many hours to come out like this, but it was worth it!
A few printing details to be improved and thats it, a lovely Convair 880 that will please lots of collectors with an eye for detail!
Looking forward to the House colours and the Alaska too!!!

The Delta bird will look great as well, I hope they make this one, that I used to see so many times here in lisbon, close to the airport.

Well, it took me about an hour, but its simple ! Take photo from model, manually mask model within photoshop, take photo from sky, cloudy preferably, make sure model and sky photos match ( sun light must be in the same angle/direction) copy and paste, voilá !!!!
Glad you liked those! Next should be the Swissair, have great photos from the alps around geneva and Zurich, that i will surely use! Stay tuned!

No secret at all, all photo magazines show this from time to time! Go for it, I always pleased when anpther member comes here with their own photos, showing their models with real backgrounds, or photographic ones, or even black, its all part of the hobby, its about sharing, and appreciating people and their efforts.
Be it models, or something else...human nature doesnt necessarely have to be self destructive right?!

Not a criticism of photos or model but are they tiny scratches on polished part and in particular near nose wheel?

Great looking model

Yes, that is all on me to blame...tried tweaking with the nose gear and scratched that bit...the top scratch is not really a scratch, and ive cleaned it!
As for the engine pylon, no big deal, as it doesnt show when you look at the model without magnifying lenses!
