Thanks for the tip, Just ordered a red tail British Airways to go with my red tail British model. Quite reasonable prices, I thought.

There is also another thread about this started by Robertjon not so far ago. Why to start a new one?

Yogurtlite

Robertjon had a thread about the first 2 Hogan Concorde's but now there are 2 more being released so I thought that the news was important for other collectors like me, wanting not to have to pay hundreds of dollars to try and get them from e-bay!

Sorry if this thread bothers you.

Regards

Gary

If it not that bothers me, in fact, I am also interested as I ordered and already paid a pair of Concordes but there's no reason to open a new thread. We can use and condense all in one.

Cheers.

Wow! Red Tail with "British Airways" titles and the previously announced Landor, this is getting expensive, ordering these babies and having them shipped from the U.K.! And another re-release of the Union Flag livery with registration G-BOAB.

Which aircraft was G-BBDG? I'm only familiar with G-BOAA, -AB, -AC, -AD, etc., etc.

G-BBDG was Concorde 202, the first production aircraft released from Filton.
It was used for certification and manufacturer's trials and demonstration.
It was also used for route proving and endurance flying.
Actually, it was not to full production standard and remained with the manufacturer.
Retired in 81 and stored at Filton.

Just ordered 2 red tails. One to keep as the Brooklands Concorde to match my avatar, and one as a donor for the BA/SQ hybrid. Thanks for the new thread, as I had stopped reading the old one!

Airspotters show Union 'AA' now estimating early July, previously late May. The just announced Union 'AB' is predicted early June. Seems a bit strange. I find it stranger still that ARD are not yet showing these new pre-orders.

Thanks for the information. I thought maybe it was used as a test aircraft and then re-registered as something else for BA. Now I know.

I would never go for a Hogan Concorde on fleabay. Luckily, I bought the 2 Concordes most important to me when they came out- G-BOAD in the Union Flag livery, and F-BTSD in the second production run. I've been on both of them.

We need to build something to protect G-BOAD here in NY. It's been exposed to the elements for 10 years, and when it was moved during the renovations of the Intrepid, I was crushed to see the damage done to the nose cone. I felt as if it was my own.

I can't think of any other airliner that is as awe-inspiring. The 707, 747 or A380 don't even come close. When Concorde used to take off from LHR or CDG, everyone stopped what they were doing on the tarmac for a moment to watch. You couldn't blink or you'd miss it, it took off so fast. The roar of those RR-Snecma Olympus engines, the sight of the flames in the afterburners, it gave you goosebumps!

At Le Bourget, F-BTSD is in a hangar and covered. All of the Concordes should be housed indoors somehow.

Looking at the Airspotters website, it'll be Landor AE & Union AB next week. Originally it was Landor AE & Union AA. So if you'd ordered AA then it's been put back to July, however, order AB now and you'll get it next week. Now that is what I mean by strange!

Pffffff!!

That's why I ordered the Union AA and Landor AE a month ago. What I want to know is who command these Concordes to be done. Were ARD and Airspotters settled and arrangement with Hogan for the UK market only?

Is this an exclusive release by Aerospotters only? Or it will also be available at other retailers?
Thank you...

I am so anxious to get those babes.

My new Landor arrived today. Things to note:

1. Hogan seem to be saving some money. The printing is not as detailed as on the original first release. Bits aren't done anymore, especially on the underside.
2. The engine internals have been completely deleted (they're just empty ducts now!).
3. Mine had a bad tampo printing error (the right 'British Airways' title was smeared) - and has had to be sent back for a replacement.

On a positive... they seem to have worked out how to put the red Landor cheat line on straighter. There's not that noticeable kink in it anymore.

To my surprise my Landor arrived this morning and I am in the Rocky Mountain Region of the U.S. One little issue I will touch up, but otherwise good. Glad to have this one and as I said surprised it arrived today as ARD had not sent any shipping notification and I really wasn't expecting it for another week or two.

Just one question :
Which logo do you have under the belly of your Concorde ?
Socatec or Hogan ?

There're 5x Hogan Air France Concordes in the 2013 Limox catalog:

I don't know if they're still due to be released or already sold out again?!

In all honesty, I'd wait and see if any members here are interested in selling one of their AF ones. Question: Does it have to be 'FB? Would SD, FA, or FF in the barcode livery not work for you?

Try posting a 'WANTED: Hogan 1:200 AF (Barcode) Concorde' ad in the For Sale, Trade or Swap section.

From what I'm reading in these threads, I'd take the time to hunt an earlier Hogan Concorde model down. I'm glad I scooped my 3 when I did!

Exactly! All of a sudden Fed Ex is at the front door with my Union flag Concorde. At first glance no major issues and am very glad to get one for myself

...SIGNATURE REQUIRED and because you have no knowledge/heads up of its arrival you miss the knock at the door by the courier and have to go to the pickup center to hand pick up the item. No big deal and the plane is beautiful and defect free so I am happy in the end its just that I hate surprises! When I called last week to ARD they made it sound like the BOAA would not ship out until the END of June. So if I had been out of town this week then I would have missed out on this model. But its here playing with my Air France Concorde so I am tickled pink!

Bothers me a little too. Communication is difficult. And as I am going to be on vacation next month I don't dare ordering new releases.

Came regular Royal/USPS air mail, although still signature required (which I have NO problem with as long as I have ADVANCED notice of it shipping/arriving! Anyway beating a dead horse here and my BOAA now wants to play with my 1/200 Gemini BA 77W and Herpa BAWC 748F!

Agreed, they're saving some money on it. Mine arrived today...

Differences from original release include..

1. Emergency exit printing now creeps onto wing because the window line is now lower. In my view, this is better than the original, and is the reason why there is no longer a kink in the cheatline towards the nose.

2. The nose gear doors used to be metal, now they are nasty blue-tinged plastic. Same for the rotation wheel, it is now white plastic (with the blue tinge!) instead of snow-white painted plastic (The 'AE' printing on one side of mine is virtually off the bottom edge of the door).

3. The engine fan blades are missing. The original Landor release had these.

4. The main gear doors now have yellow insides like some of the original Air France examples. I don't know how accurate this is?

5. The canards now have 'NO STEP' printing on this release. Not too large either.

6. The box is inferior. No statistics about Concorde on it as before, however, the box is of similar design.

So there you have it.. It's still the best Concorde model out there, but it's still far from perfect.

I would be pissed off if I hadn't sold my original release for such a high price! I didn't expect to be able to get hold of another so I can't complain too much!

@jixer @BAConcorde So after reading your comments, I think I gonna keep my original Landor (despite the imperfections it has).

I wonder why you didn´t share some pictures. Please guys, don't be so selfish and share your new models.

How good are those pictures (prints) airspotters send with the Concordes?

I know that the Air France Concordes went through 2-3 releases, and all of the first issues had fan blades, whereas the second (and third) releases didn't. All had 'No Step' on the canards. These traits are noted from the two second release ('SD & 'FF) and one third release ('SB) I own.

All mine have the yellow door colour, which looks correct for Air France. All the photos I have of BA Concordes show the yellow to be more muted, like a soft tan-yellow, but that could just be the light, given that these are continually seen is varying strengths of shadow.

That said, variation continues, eh? Pity about the blue tinged plastic. THAT is just cheesy, IMPO.

Just a few quick pics of new arrivals, as has been mentioned the BA models have yellow interior main doors, packaging is simplified but adequate, no engine intake interior detail BUT they are still Concordes so whats not to like.

That was the model that got me into 1:200. I still cherish mine, as it was purchased in Paris. Interesting fact, that 'SB spent a large proportion of its time stationed at Casablanca.

Anyhow, from your description, these re-releases sound pretty much like many of the other Hogan Concorde releases (except for the first which had the fan blades visible deep in the inlets).
