AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Finally! Just noticed on Aviation Megastore.com with the future release of the long awaited Air New Zealand 777-300 All Blacks Scheme. Now knowing how precise the T777 engines are on the Hogan models, I'm sure that it will satisfy alot of disappointed collectors who have had past "issues" with the JC version. For the BBox Fans, a couple of interesting 747's 1/200.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
The Skymarks version is not too bad.....and definitely has the most accurate of all the 777-300ER engines out there.

Woohoo!!! .....I really expect a premium Hogan model. With registration and great details like pitot tubes and static ports printing.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Every now and then Hogan have this habit of pulling a " rabbit out of the hat". Whilst your looking at the Hogan releases in Eurpoe, the Asian maket manufactures a model that no one expected. If I'm not mistaken, the A330 version of Asian Airlines will be making an appearance in the near future. Here's hoping that this could be the beginning of some very interesting releases.

I wouldn't expect too much additional detailing will come with this.
But -- the addition of Beecom's aerials and some red anti-collision beacons would really snap this model into a closer to premium level. I'm afraid the stenciling that is found on the diecast versions won't be there, nor are there decals to add it (yet?). For the enterprising collector, this could be a stunning model.

ya I know hogan's 777 doesn't have antennas details, however, I wonder if this is an official AZ model? or is it just solely released from hogan? the reason I ask this is because official models tend to have higher printing details on the model than non-official ones. We shall see when the final product hits the market! hehehe

Well, when I refer to detail, I refer to what I can expect on Gemini models. Aerials, beacons, lights, and stencils galore. I've only seen one by Hogan that has that level of high detail, and that was specifically for a Japanese airline who must have chosen the 'premium' package and whose name I've since forgotten. (Prediction: I think in about 5 minutes there will be piccy posted by someone with it. )
This ANZ 777 will indeed, be a very good seller, but also a super model for customizing!

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
All of Hogan's standard retail models will be fully detailed with the exception of certain airline orders (ANA, CX and Socatec being the exceptions) and Boeing Marketing models which specify minimum details. Hogan has the ANZ license and hence this model will feature the desired details. Hogan's earlier ANZ all white 773 release was from the lot they made for Boeing Marketing, hence the lack of detail. Besides as this model will feature a completely black fuselage, certain detailing may not be visible due to the color.

Not sure. Actually, I thought it may have been you who posted a piccy of it earlier this year. I guess not.

Thanks for the explanation moin, even though ANZ all black features all BLACK COLOR, I still want to see some kind of details on the model. For me, model details and accuracy are the most important factors when deciding which model to collect!!!

Daron Toys (major retail supplier) has a listed arrival date of 2/13/2013 on their website.
Waffle also has it up for pre-order on his site.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
is this an official released by Air New Zealand? or by hogan itself?
I've noticed the lack of details on both sides of the model and the engines compared to the risesson's (which is an official released)
heck the ALL BLACK livery is such a beauty that I would take it anytime over JC's!

Looks just fine for me. I don't expect much from a model that costs less than $40. Can hardly wait to receive it next year.

ya that's true, but I wouldn't mind to pay $10-$20 more to have all or majority of details printed on the model (with wooden display stand as well!)
since hogan released a standard corporate livery of NZ's 773ER earlier this year (with limited details printed) and is coming out with a more details version later this year, so I'm hopping to see the same on this ALL BLACK beauty!

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Thai B77W still the best triple seven made by Hogan for regular releases. This ANZ is nice but could much better with more printing details. I keep my JC Wings despite the font size and the engines.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
I'm getting this one! 80% sure I'll be able to afford it when it's released .
It's $60-$70 cheaper than the diecast version, that's a big advantage, correct GE90s (yay!) and I am sure they will be available at my local retailers. It looks great so far, I still love Hogan's 777s, they are the best for plastic IMO. I am super excited for this one!

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
I think they made a mistake with the 'Boeing 777-300ER' titles as the actual plane doesn't have them.

Spot-on, Moin! Quite an oversight from Hogan when both Risesoon and JCWings got this bit right. Hogan's ZK-OKQ looks too bare without all those stenciling
Plastic vs. plastic, Risesoon has the upper edge for this aircraft (just my humble opinion).

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Ok well this is another Boeing Marketing model hence the lack of details and the '777-300ER' titles were added as per the artwork submitted by Boeing but which will be corrected during the next production.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Guys,
I just had at look at the final product and boy.... I sincerely hope your (Moin, LH456 and payton89222) optimism will pay off and there will be a V2.0 release for this model in the future with added details. Anyway, here are some photos and you be the judge
I am so glad that I manage to get hold of Risesoon's NZ 77W All Blacks albeit at a slightly higher price than Hogan's and plain white box. Risesoon nailed it, IMO.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Are you certain this isn't a sample model? The "Boeing 777-300ER" and registration number on the model appear to be stickers, not tampo printing.

I do not think this is a sample model. Moreover, this model is already on the shelf, (at the store I visited earlier) and available for sale.

Let's just hope that the model I shown earlier are the rejected batch and Hogan should be working on producing V2.0 with more details that should hit stores by Jan or Feb 2013. Hehe... Some wild ideas

like moin said, this model is ordered by the Boeing marketing thus the lack of stencils! I'll wait and see if hogan will release a more "detailed" version of this model! let's hope Big Mouse can answer this question! =P

I hope this particular model was discounted due to the large and noticeable scratch forward of the horizontal stab. lol.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Although I'm a Hogan Man, I must admit I'm disappointed in the Air New Zealand 777 model. It has hit the shelves and unfortunately the detail has little to be desired. The 'A' is correct, but the rest is well the bare basics. I'll probably end up buying it but, I feel Hogan missed their chance in Manufacturing a very good model. Oh well, better luck next time.

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
i have the RS one, and imo the RS is much better, the connecting between the wings and the fuselage on the RS is better looking, the Hogan's engine seems a little off i mean being smaller the KQ is missing on the main landing gear door, the only thing that i wished RS did theirs is that they put the new main landing gear and put the wood stand on there other than that i have no complaints on the RS one

Re: AT LAST! Hogan makes Air New Zealand 777!
Actually yes they have. You should see the landing gears on their (Risesoon) LH 747-8 which is available as a Skymarks models.
Btw the Skymarks/Risesoon BA 773ER and Virgin new livery A333, A346 and 744 should be available in about a months time too.

I was wondering when the new livery Virgins were going to be available. It'll be nice to have them.
