I'm loving these 'rereleases' of popular models.
Gives everybody another chance to own one. The original was by Inflight, no? But not in Inflight packaging.
Keep em coming! Will be adding this to the recent BOAC (707) and Pan Am (707 and DC-10) rereleases.

White box, no outer sleeve. Manufacturer is unknown, database entry is in no way trustworthy. My personal oppinion: BlueBox as well.
VR-HHK will keep a majority of its value due to the rareness and the fact, that it carries the Union Jack and the famous "Super TriStar" titles.

i was basing that on u.k ave price!! problem is once you add on $50 postage, its no cheaper!  and then possible customs charges! be interesting to see what ARD list these at.

Absolutely. Hats off to whoever is making these decision 
I'll probably miss out on this one just like the last one but at least I'll have the opportunity. VR-HOA might deflate some of those outrageous feeBay CX L-1011 prices too. Always nice to see that.
I say re-release or closely release everything  two or three times

Does anyone know if VR-HOA ever at any time had the Super Tristar titles and the UK flag? The 4-5 a.net pics that are there show the plane from around 1992 and none of the pics show the Tristar titles or the flag but I'm sure CX must have had this plane from before the handover to China.

Was just about to bring that up. Saw those same a-net pics plus a few more around the web and it looks like HOA never wore SuperTriStar titles.
Not good for me - half the fun of owning an L-1011 is the special moniker on the #2 intake. Now this is one of those instances I would like the maker to apply a little artistic license and add the titles anyway. And it needs a couple of those red & white striped fin antennas too. Looks are more important than accuracy (that ought to get a hysterical comment or two out of a couple folk)

Good suggestion until they turn yellow (I don't handle that well). Maybe they've improved decals since I last worked with them in the late 19th century.
I see Hasegawa makes or made a 1:200 kit with CX decals
1/200 Hasegawa Lockheed L-1011 Tristar kits
Haven't found anything else yet.

£89.95 less 15% for pre-order... So that's around £76.50... US-advertised prices won't be carrying sales tax - UK prices include 20% VAT. So without VAT that UK price would be £63.75 or the equivalent of $98.80 at £1.00=$1.55! Remarkable similarity in the prices if you remove the effect of the excessive sales taxes here in the UK. Consider the fact that some [many] US dealers will want pay-upfront for pre-orders whereas ARD only charges when shipped - I'll stick with UK dealers and my 3rd and 4th 1:200 Cathay TriStars are already on order... Really looking forward to the white one!

well i have ordered just vk-hoa from ARD. also overseas post is $50 as well. so will work out cheaper!! interesting to see what ARD will charge for the pokemon 747s. should be normal £99.95 less 15%!!

I was referring to VR-HOA in particular as that is the model being made. These pics are of HHK and HHX.

Hi All,
I just picked one of these up, noticed that its a little back heavy and the nose gear comes off the ground a bit. Wondering if anyone else has the same thing? or if its a known issue? quite annoying and can probably correct it with a little uneven surface to rest it on...but shouldn't have to do that
