Here's an idea....Hogan Premium
I'm sitting here looking at my Hogan 737-300 US Airways and thinking "How much harder would it be to print extra details and add antenna's?"
They have done the antenna's on some of there models. Add the extra stuff, call them premium and sell them for like $10 more than standard Hogans but less than a comparable in diecast. I like the feel of the plastic models just wish they had a few more details.

Re: Here's an idea....Hogan Premium
I think it is a great idea also.
Can you imagine a Hogan 777-300ER with factory antennas, extra details like emergency wing exit markings and jeweled landing lights and beacon? The new style GE-90 engines are already pretty good. Worth an 'extra' $10-15? How about $20?
I think it would be pretty sweet.

I have a few of the HG 747s with the clear cockpit windows. Is that something they've done away with? I bought the HG 747-8F Flight Test and the 747-8I Sunrise livery and neither has the clear cockpit windows. It's too bad, because I like that look on my Qantas 747-400 and Air Force One from HG. I also have the Boeing 747LCF and it doesn't have the clear cockpit either. Oh well, still nice models.
I agree though, I'd pay a little more for the Hogan line if they put some of those extras on there. Some of their models could be really nice with those additions. Some of their newer models have had some improvements like wing details and antennae. They could do more like those...
I'd buy 'em!

I agree, and I wouldn't mind an extra $20, or so, for all those fiddly bits, as long as the stencil detail was up in the category of Gemini's. ALL that stuff really makes the difference for me.

Yep, good idea. Most people would be willing to pay something extra for added detail.

Re: Here's an idea....Hogan Premium
Good idea indeed. I would pay the double for a close to perfect premium HG 787. But isn't HG Precision models something similar?

Re: Here's an idea....Hogan Premium
I don't understand why Herpa doesn't get back into the premium game, considering that diecasts are becoming more and more expensive.
Even if Herpa sold them for between $150-250 a piece, there still would be a good market for them. There are lots of people on this forum that would buy them.
Even my recently acquired Herpa Premium Lufthansa 747, in its yellowed state, is still a more impressive model than the Inflight equivalent. And that is 20+ year-old technology.

Was it because of bad aerodynamics or lack of passengers?
