Default Aircraft Modification

Hello Forum, My first actual post that concerns the question. I wonder if anyone here bought a Hogan Wings American Airlines and got foil taped it to give it that metal look? If someone did a little advice would be nice :P If no one has done it ill be the test pilot to see how it turns out and will tryin put progress reports up :P... 2nd modification Has anyone repainted a aircraft? and i dont mean little touch ups either i mean a full overhaul. I want to buy and repaint a 757-300 Northwest to the Delta (or continental). If someone has done this please i need some tips i dont know how to paint plastic. Thank You!

Edit: So far what i can make out is Since its a Hogan 757-300 The wings being detachable makes it alot easier to paint the body

I think you should try using Alclad II for chrome plastic materials. I am not an expert paiting neither building models but I had read about it and it gives nice results. Perhaps someone else could give a better advice.

Check this thread from a mexican forum, that DC-10 rules.

He said eat the extra hot jalapenos. It turns anything grey into a nice shiny silver colour!

In the post, he mentioned he used a primer dark coat and then applied Alclad to the model. The darker is the base, the shiner finishing you get. Maybe you should take a look to this page. There you can get an idea how use the lacquer and where you can find it.

Hope it helps you.
