Arrow Aviation 200 Korean Air B747-3B5!

Love this model!

KE blue is not perfect on this model, but still, there is no other diecast KE B747 around so...

You mean the model right?
I got it right after it was released.
I think I've paid for $150 or something like that,
it wasn't cheap because KE B743 was one of the 1st B743 releases from Aviation 200 and they weren't cheap back then.

Just to let you know that this diorama is based on tight island remote gate area.
It shows gate number B1, B2, B3. When wide bodies come in, B1 and B3 are used.
And busy time with narrow bodies, all 3 gates are used for B737s, MD-80s or B757s.
Just in case people might think B747 main wing is coming over to B2 area is wrong.
When wide bodies use the gates only B1 and B3 would be in service.

Great livery on a great B743 mould. Sadly it is not used again.

Yes, I wish this mould was used more...
Hopefully either AV of IF would use it more often.

It's a great model. I've had mine for some 2-3 years now. It's my flagship piece.

It has been that long? Wow, I didn't even realize it was released that long ago. Anyway, today I took out my model for the 1st time since I got this right after it was released. The poor thing was in the box for a couple of years then. And... now it's back in the box again after I took these shots. Sadley my display shelf is exposed in sunlight, I don't keep my airplanes out on the tarmac, only an hour so for photo shoot. So my airport is always empty when I'm not taking the pictures...

Great photos and a very nice model.
Are you going to expand the diorama?
Looking forward to get a Korean MD-11 or SP!

Smaller Tomytec cars suit 1/200 dioramas well, not the big ones.
Since what I have in the pictures are the smaller ones, so I think they look fine.

If my display shelf and the model room was in the basement or similiar environment, I would leave it out, but currently my display cabinets are near balcony in my house which receive direct sunlight (UV rays) that might cause heat and dry that leads to paint crack.

I'm actually planning on expanding the diorama,
I have planned it from the start, but it would take a while though.
I'm also waiting for KE MD-11s and SPs!
