Itīs funny,
I just read the following comment on this topic on the HERPA website from HERPA WINGS TEAM: "The United plane will still be corrected. As far as the Premium Series 2002 is concerned (that's the new name), we will no longer put them all in one brochure, but tell you what models will come out one by one, as soon as they are ready to be announced. " The question were if the NP UA B747 would be corrected since the windows appear too high (both lower and upper deck) and when the Premium Series is gonna be announced. Thatīs not so good news regarding the chronic delays with HERPA models. Weīll have to keep patient. Have a nice day Nobbe |

well the FIRST one released after the LH's was the Emirates A300.
I remember at the time the model was SEVERELY BASHED on DAC. I imagine the sanwich effect of the pieces of fuselage, tooled for the LH o/c showed up on an all white aircraft. Remember something about wrong pylons too.... The colors never attracted me so I passed but for whatever reason it was the ONLY one released. E |

The sandwich effect on the herpa's is nothing like the 1:250 schabaks.. First herpa's molds are precision, schabak leaves something to be desired..
go to my website: http://www.disneycorner.com/herpa take a look at the detailed pictures and you be the judge.. -t

I must admit that the Emirates A300 was a big disappointment for me.Being supposedly premium and paying big bucks for it,I would`ve expected better quality controls in respect to the finish without seam and join marks. The Continental 733 was alittle better but still those ugly seam marks were there.

I've had it with any die cast over 1:400 scale. I'll stick to building 1:200 scale Hasegawas ( just finished Spirit of Delta 767-232) sure its work, but they look better in the end.

just one example of what you can do with Hasegawa:
(a 1:200 Hasegawa 747-400 with El Al decals built by Kevin Knowles)

When I first saw the Emirates A300, I was so disappointed with the "sandwich" effect especially near the cockpit area.... it was so sad. I gave the whole set of Premium Series 2000 a pass. Did not like the Air NZ scheme (unless if it is a special "All Blacks" 744) and the rest are just not appealing.
Premium Series 2001 was a pleasant surprise in the beginning, but fizzled out after the SIA Tropical was withdrawn. So I gave the series a pass too. But might get the KLM if I get to see the model in real life. Love the 744 mould on the Premium Series. So far the only Premium Series I have is of the Lufthansa Expo 2000 744. Which I adore and proudly display.Simply gorgeous.... For Premium Series 2002, I would love to see an A340. Maybe in either of these liveries, SK or SQ Also would love to see a 777-200. Preferably in AF or MH I think a 744 would also come out. For this, I would love to see SQ in 50th Anniversary Colours or Thai Royal Boat..... Hope to see an Asian Airline as part of the Premium Series collection. Never been in the Premium Series and would love to see one......

I wish someone would build Hasegawa 1/200 airliner models on a professional level. The quality of those kits is outstanding! I just dont have the time to build them anymore.
